Celebrating 4 Years of Kirby Place at Walsh Family Village

Today, Tuesday, June 23, we proudly celebrate four years of Kirby Place at Walsh Family Village — a place built on compassion, generosity, and the belief that no family should face a health journey alone.

Because of incredible supporters like you, nearly 2,000 families have found comfort and care just steps away from lifesaving treatment. Over the past four years, Kirby Place has:

🔸 Served 1,982 families
🔸 Welcomed guests from 24 states and 2 countries
🔸 Provided 26,398 nights of lodging
🔸 Averaged a 14-night stay per family
🔸 Maintained a waitlist nearly every night

To those who helped bring Kirby Place to life, and to everyone who continues to support it: thank you. Your kindness is felt every single day.

Members of our team recently participated in a hard hat tour of the Avera Women’s and Children’s Center. Through our historic Tomorrow’s Promise Campaign, generous supporters are helping make possible a $250 million investment in the care of newborns, children and families across our region.

In this photo, our colleagues are standing in the future Avera Golisano Children’s Hospital, located within the new patient care tower designed to provide remarkable care to every newborn, child and family for generations to come.

Thank you to our inspiring supporters and dedicated colleagues for bringing this vision to life.💚
