Black Bear vs. Goats! What a wild encounter! Alaska is such an incredible place. These goats usually hang out on steep bluffs where bears can’t go, but for some reason on this day, they were near the timber. Whether it’s green grass or Rocky Mountain Goats, food is hard to find in this country and it can make animals display atypical behavior in order to survive.
The fishing in Alaska is 🔥!! These are one type of many different Rockfish species in the prolific, cold North Pacific waters. They’re considered pelagic based off of their tendency to roam to and from rock formations underwater though they term pelagic may be relative to their species. They’re considered taste amazing, but despite their seemingly prolific status, the bag limit is only 2 a day here.

A BIG first for me! Couldn’t believe the first bear we saw the first time we hunted Alaska was this big! The skull measured huge! The trip was hard to explain. All of it was captured beautifully by our very own, Cup. Can’t wait to get this video out to you guys. It will blow you away. More to come soon! Huge thanks to Trent Fisher for the mentorship on this trip and to our friends at Lacrosse Footwear for taking us on what most would consider a bucketlist trip! I have a new lens for creation and I am very grateful right now.
