I grew up in this neighborhood after my family immigrated here in the early 90s. Watching it grow as families from all over the world built businesses, shared food, and created community has been a joy.
Where we live and what we do for work affects our health in every way; small business owners are no exception. Many times struggling to obtain and keep health insurance and properly being able to report their income that ebbs and flows with the season.
That’s why I’m proud to invite you to a three-day festival celebrating local artists, chefs, and small business owners — right by the library where I read all the books to learn English. Proceeds go back into helping small businesses thrive and keeping our community strong.
