Our Deputy Legal Director, Maya Abela joined our partners at the The Arc of Arizona, Inc. and the The Arc of Tempe at the Coconino County Elections Office in Flagstaff for Arizona Achieve's Election Tours Event!
This informative event gave participants a behind-the-scenes look at how elections work and an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with accessible voting equipment. Participants learned all about voting accommodations, accessibility features, and how to cast a ballot privately and independently and had the opportunity to have their questions answered!

Funding for Arizona's Developmental Disabilities Group Home Monitoring Program (COMIT) is not on the current draft of the budget.

Please join us in giving our newest intern a warm DRAZ welcome! Sedona Diazzi has joined our team as a Legal Intern in our Tucson Office! She is an incoming 2L at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. Sedona is interested in disability law and advocacy based on my previous work with veterans in the Veterans' Advocacy Law Clinic and with students with disabilities at the Strategic Alternative Learning Technologies Center (SALT Center). Sedona shares that she is excited to gain firsthand knowledge of the work and dedication required to continue advocating for and protecting the rights of disabled individuals through providing essential education and legal resources. Fun fact- Sedona is a huge animal lover with two dogs and three guinea pigs at home and is always happy to talk about pets! Welcome to DRAZ, Sedona!
