What began as a day of protest may now become a major courtroom battle.
Tucker Collins, an 18-year-old student who attended the "No Kings" demonstration in Los Angeles, says he suffered a life-changing eye injury after being struck by a less-lethal projectile while documenting the event.
Collins maintains he was photographing the protest when the incident occurred and is now preparing a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security.
The case is likely to raise difficult questions about crowd control, the use of less-lethal munitions, and the balance between public safety and constitutional rights during demonstrations.
One thing is certain:
A protest that lasted hours may lead to legal proceedings that last years.

My final birthday post for President Trump tonight—and this one is personal.
Behind the headlines and political battles, there is a side of President Trump that many people never see. Every time I've met him, he has treated me with kindness, encouragement, and respect.
He gave me opportunities, believed in me, and once told me something I will never forget: “You are family too.”
No matter what people think of him politically, I will always remember the way he treated me as a person.
Happy Birthday, President Trump. Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and your friendship. May God continue to bless and protect you.

Sarah McBride criticized President Trump for “pretending to be a cowboy.”
Trump supporters quickly pointed out what they see as an irony: if identity is something people can define for themselves, why is Trump's public image suddenly considered “pretending”?
The debate continues.

BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel says investigators have obtained information he believes raises new questions about the 2020 presidential election.
Patel's comments have quickly reignited one of the most debated issues in modern American politics.
At this stage, no detailed evidence has been publicly released to support Patel's latest claims. Many observers are now waiting to see whether additional documents, findings, or official reports will be presented in the coming weeks.
Until then, the debate continues.

Courtroom testimony often matters more than months of online arguments.
In the Karmelo Anthony trial, several student witnesses reportedly provided accounts that prosecutors argued were inconsistent with the self-defense narrative presented by the defense.
The testimony focused on what happened in the moments leading up to the confrontation, including whether there was an opportunity to leave and how quickly events unfolded.
Ultimately, trials are decided by evidence, witness testimony, and the facts presented in court—not by social media campaigns or public opinion.
The verdict may end the legal case, but the debate surrounding it is likely to continue.

Lizzo reportedly told MAGA voters not to play her music.
The internet's response?
"Wait... people ask politicians for voting advice, and now politicians are apparently asking people for playlist advice."
If someone likes a song, they'll probably keep listening to it.
If they don't, they'll hit skip.
That's usually how music works.
At this point, America may be the only country where your playlist is expected to file a political affiliation form.

La Toya Jackson is pushing back against one of the most debated public figures in America.
Speaking about Donald Trump, she described him as "very nice," "sweet," and "kind," while arguing that many people's perceptions of him do not match her personal experiences.
It's a reminder of something unusual about Trump:
Few political figures generate such dramatically different opinions depending on who is telling the story.
To supporters, he is a fighter who says what others won't.
To critics, he remains one of the most polarizing figures of the modern era.
Comments like Jackson's show that even after years in the spotlight, the debate over Trump's character is far from over.

Some people say fireworks, barbecues, and parades are the perfect way to celebrate July 4th.
Others seem to think the ultimate birthday gift to America would be finally ending the never-ending arguments over immigration policy once and for all.
At this point, Washington has spent so many years debating immigration that Congress could probably celebrate Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year's without ever leaving the same committee hearing.
Maybe the real American tradition isn't fireworks.
Maybe it's arguing about immigration every single year and calling it progress.
