Sawreal Global Logistics, LLC - Parent company of Local Postal is looking for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to transport clients in a comfortable, safe way to their medical appointments. The driver main responsibilities include assisting clients with boarding and exiting our vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. piloting the vehicles for the safety and comfort of our clients and giving them a positive interaction with our company.

Responsibilities
• Making sure vehicles are in proper working condition by doing a pre-trip check at the beginning of every shift
• Map out driving routes ahead of time using the provided GPS and scheduling
• Picking up clients on time and safely transporting them to their destination as requested
• Assist clients with loading and unloading of personal effects.
• Making sure all clients are safely seated with seat belts securely fastened
• Ensuring all company policies are followed in the discharge of your duty.

Comply with company policies and federal, state and local regulations

Follow company procedures for safely loading and unloading freight

Take and verify dispatch instructions

Operate a tractor-trailer combination (vans)

95% no touch - Load and unload freight in varying weather conditions at the company and customer facilities

Safe operation of equipment and on-time movement of shipments

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections

Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations

Some daily work available, at worst home every other night. No 5-day or more on the road trips unless requested by the driver.

You must be at least 23 years old
We require a full 3 months of recent verifiable over-the-road tractor-trailer experience
No DWIs in the last 7 years
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 4 years
Pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, and HPE
No preventable DOT reportable accidents in the last 3 years
No drug test refusal or failure

Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

Proven work experience as a truck driver
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid truck driving license
