WELS Leaders are the beginning of a new generation of consciously mindful, Fayette County citizens, who may reshape our local landscape for the better. This weekend, one of those organizations, St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Uniontown, PA , has invited a few of our WELS Grads to share about their experience. Public speaking is a key part of WELS leadership development!

If you'd like to come out & hear from 3 WELS Graduates, all are welcome! Sunday, June 14th at 10:30am at 121 Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA.

Casandra Brené Brown is a research professor, author, and podcaster who focuses on topics like courage, vulnerability, and leadership. She holds the Huffington Foundation Endowed Chair at the University of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work and is also a visiting professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Brown spends much of her time working with organizations to help develop braver leaders and more courageous cultures.

This evening, the WELS family celebrated the Spring 2026 Session leaders with a graduation dinner - complete with speeches! Thank you to everyone - volunteers, mentors, our intern, all our sponsors and donors - who helped to make this possible!

And it's done! Six weeks, six adventures, and six team building and integration exercises with seventeen 7th & 8th graders from around Fayette County!
