🚨 Mind-blowing dental breakthrough alert! 🦷Regrowing your teeth is right around the corner!

Japanese researchers are testing a drug that could let you literally regrow missing teeth. It blocks a protein (the natural brake on tooth development), waking up dormant tooth buds to grow a third set of chompers.

It already worked in mice and ferrets. Human Phase 1 safety trials (in adults missing teeth) started in late 2024 and wrapped up recently with promising early signals. Next up: efficacy trials in kids with congenital tooth loss.

so when is this coming to the US?

Targeting approval and availability around 2030 in Japan for people born with missing teeth, with hopes to expand to general tooth loss.

US dentists: They’ve already had a Pre-IND meeting with the FDA. If everything goes smoothly, we could see it stateside a few years after Japan — likely early-to-mid 2030s.
