CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Elections for Franklin County Citizen Corps Council (FCCCC) will be held May 10th at 6:00 pm at the EMA Office.

The Franklin County Citizen Corp Council (FCCCC) will be holding a meeting March 29th at 6:00 p.m. at the Franklin County EMA Office. Franklin County Citizen Corp Council will be accepting nominations for the following positions:
1. Chairman (Elected)
2. Vice Chairman (Elected)
3. Recording Secretary (Elected)
4. Community Representative (Elected)
