His résumé is packed with achievements, including WINNER of the Extreme Cowboy Races, Liberty Clinics, Working Ranch Horse, free style working equitation, team roping, trick roping, teaching your horse TRICKS, Spanish Walking, rearing, sitting, navigating obstacles and so much more!

How fun is that?

Riders: Clinic is limited to only eight riders per session. This is a two-day clinic (half days); you can choose the morning session or the afternoon session. Riders are welcome to stay and watch the other session at no charge.

Spectators: We will have a very limited number of auditors/spectators as well. So please sign up in advance!

Thanks to all of you, we have found a new home for this boy. He had his leg taken care of this morning, and a loving home waiting for him! THANK YOU!!!!

This SUPER SWEET black cat approx a year old, 7lbs, was abandoned in a crate at Homesteads doors.
This baby needs a back leg amputation. After the surgery, he needs a soft place to recover and call home. Do you have room for this beautiful boy? Help us save him❤️

God has surely blessed us.

Prayers for all who loved Dusty.

We have suffered a great loss in the Kraus family.

Dusty was the kind of person who would help anyone, no questions asked. He had a way of encouraging those around him and was always leading people toward faith and church. His heart for others and his unwavering spirit made a lasting impact on so many lives.

Dusty lived life to the fullest with his love of horses and roping. He was always the life of the party and could bring a smile to anyone around him. He truly enjoyed working on the farm alongside his family running cattle and breeding horses, doing what he loved every single day.

Dusty accomplished so much in his life, and he will be deeply missed by many. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” — John 11:25

With heavy hearts, all of us , the veterinarians and entire care team at Mid-Rivers Equine Centre, join our community in mourning the passing of Dr. Don Walsh, DVM.

Dr. Walsh was not simply a veterinarian. He was a guiding light in the veterinary community and a mentor to so many of us who were blessed to learn from him. His wisdom was steady. His standards were high. His heart was even higher.

Born in St. Louis, Don knew as a young boy that he would become a veterinarian, and for 56 years, he lived that calling with unwavering dedication. A proud graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine, he devoted his life to the care of small animals and horses, founding Homestead Veterinary Hospital in Pacific, Missouri. His passion for equine laminitis led him to establish the Animal Health Foundation in 1985, raising funds and awareness for research that has impacted horses and horse owners far beyond our region. He was still learning, still studying, still attending the Missouri State Veterinary Convention the very last weekend of his life , because for Don, caring and learning were lifelong commitments.

As Dr. Dawn Mrad shared: “He’s been a great colleague and fabulous example for all vets in the area. He will be missed.”

And he will be.

We are better because he was here.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the entire Homestead and Walsh family. May they feel surrounded by the same compassion and strength that Don so generously gave to others.

Thank you, Dr. Walsh, for the example you set and the light you shared. You will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
