As announced today at the end of our service, we've got a truly special occasion coming soon at UPWC. We invite you to join us on Sunday, Aug. 2, as we commemorate the ordination of our very own Rev. Phillip Hubbard!

Phillip's ministry dates back to when he was just 8 years old. He's been a licensed minister since 2017, but he will now step into a new phase of ministry as an ordained minister within the Congregational Holiness Church. This designation will allow Phillip to one day serve as a pastor if he ever feels called to do so.

Join us Aug. 2 for a very special celebration, set to begin at 10:30 a.m. We hope to see you there!

Sometimes, the shipwrecks of life can lead to unexpected blessings and witness in our walk with Christ. That's what we learned this morning at UPWC when our guest speaker, Rev. Courtney Umbehant, delivered a powerful word based on the story of Paul's experience at Malta (Acts 27-28).

Pastor's Appreciation Day 2026 was quite a time at Union Point Worship Center!

Today, we celebrated Pastor Candy Arwood and recognized her 19 years of service as our leader. Pastor Candy is now tied as the longest-serving pastor in our church's history! Help us continue celebrating her by leaving a comment underneath this post.

Reverend Mickey Umbehant was our guest speaker. We enjoyed the on-time message he delivered to our congregation. Additionally, we loved welcoming back Teresa Umbehant, Reverend Tammy Murray and Mike Murray, who all led us in worship with spectacular music.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to the many UPWC members who helped make today a roaring success, from those who helped clean our church and fellowship hall, to those who played a role during today's program, to those who brought great food for our lunch afterward — and everyone in between. We at UPWC are one big family, and events such as this prove we are at our best when we all get to work together! Our church is immensely blessed with several people who make it such a wonderful place.

We pray today's service was a blessing to all in attendance!

This Sunday, May 31, we're honoring our pastor of 19 years, Rev. Candy Arwood! ❤️🎉 Joining us for this celebration is Rev. Mickey Umbehant as our guest speaker.

Rev. Mickey and his family are longtime friends of UPWC. We're excited to have them back in service with us again.

Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served afterward in the fellowship hall.
