Some updated rally car shenanigans And fun fun this week playing in the rally car getting my suspension finally dialed in how it should be, thanks to my other half. Still have some more things to do, but enjoying working on the old beast and seeing how all these adjustments make such a big difference in driving, and handling, and all around getting my pace up. Of course I had to make a few fun clips.

Happy to get the old lady cleaned and ran last weekend! Also glad this is the first year that I won’t have to do majors repairs on her too! Ready for 2019 and possibly another event in the fall!

This was a nice surprise to see this morning! I guess we ended up getting 6th in our open 2wd class, out of I think 11 or 12 cars. 43 cars entered the Idaho Rally we ended on Sunday in 15th. For me that’s an improvement and a win. It shows me growing and learning and that’s all I could want, being I’ve only driven a few stage rallies with my little old Honda. (without all the bells and whistles.) Finishing is the best feeling, it’s the feeling of making it through all the miles and dust, and technical roads, on top of the physical and mental endurance. Its a feeling that will always stay with me, and a great feeling that makes me want to keep pushing more, and getting out there as much as I can, and even trying other dirt events.
Thank you to my sponsor Skip, my amazing co-driver Bekah for keeping me in check and having so much fun, and also to my family and people close to me for all the support and help, and guidance, and being supportive, and pushing me to have confidence to do the best I can and allowing me to have a not so normal hobby that I love. I’m exited and ready to be back in the car or a different car like weeks ago haha ♥️

Not how we wanted to end the first day of the rally with a DNF on the last stage of the day. We were doing good (for ourselves, and compared to our own times at our first rally last year) then had some things messed with and changed on the car that shouldn’t have been and not knowing fully. So the car wasn’t running good today but we went out today and gave it what we had, thinking we could make a small adjustment in our last service, that turned into the opposite. It was sad to have things break not caused by you. However things happen and it’s rally and racing. We luckily were able to repair the issues over night and we re-entered the rally for Sunday where the car ran like a champ and did amazing and took us to the finish only with a few things that got in the way..... (almost running over what I thought were stupid turkeys again 4 of them, and dragging our skid plate down half a stage and my back tire slipping off the edge of the embankment and some slippery conditions with no power steering). Thanks to everyone who supported, cheered us on, and gave us all motivation and encouragement to press on. The other competitors encouraging and pushing me was awesome. Thank you to my family and a few close other people (you know who are) that helped on a mental and emotional status, you made all the difference in the world. Thank you to my co-driver Bekah who was amazing with her notes and had fun along the way also! Finished 19th out of all the cars that started on Sunday, was beyond what I even was hoping for, and we learned more from our last rally. We will keep learning and keep pushing. This sport is mentally and physically challenging, but that’s what I love about it the most. We can’t wait for the next rally now, even if I’m in full dead mode at the moment haha.

Well after missing the last stage yesterday, and staying up late getting the car running again, we finished the !!! So stoked to be able to have just finished and not even last haha, and the only female team too! So for us that’s a win for dang sure!!! Thank you for being on the notes and keeping me in check at times, also for having fun counting the “4 dips” and thinking we saw turkeys again this year 😂😂! So fun today, loved the stages, even if my skid plate was being dragged for part of a stage haha. Feel good about it all! Thank you also to Skip and Donna our sponsor from Donna’s place for helping make things happen for us to be able to run! Also to everyone who helped us out, and cheered us on and supported our little team, you all are amazing! Now maybe....Tour De Forest!

Well Recce today started great.....We had a good rhythm, notes were great and we felt awesome. Then we kinda went to the top of two mountains and got a tad lost, then got a flat on not such nice ground, with one lug nut cracked, and me smashing my finger in the jack. It’s all part of rally tho ♥️ Now back to the base camp haha. So we will go do a few stages of recce tomorrow and head to park expose in Boise, and be ready to rally Saturday and Sunday! The roads are amazing and a great mix of fast and flowing, and crazy awesome tight and technical!!
