History of Sleeper Public Library
From the Bad Axe Tribune of May 29, 1908

What will no doubt be the largest and best public library in the Thumb outside of Lexington will be opened Saturday, May 30th, in the handsome rooms over the new Sleeper Bank. The library of nearly 2,000 well-selected and well-bound volumes, of the best literature and reference works of all ages, is the gift of Mr. Sleeper

The donation time has now ended BUT..... On Friday, weather permitting, the Time Capsule will be being buried at Noon at the Ubly Village (Bingham) Township Hall. Items will be on display for one hour before, so at 11am you can go and see what everyone has donated to be put in the capsule.
