🎈 Science or magic? Today our school-age summer campers blew up balloons without using any air from their lungs!

By mixing a little baking soda and vinegar, our mini scientists created a chemical reaction that filled the balloons right up. 🧪🎈

Our classroom smelled amazing today as the kids rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on cooking activity. From measuring and mixing to the best part: taste-testing! There's nothing better than learning through doing. 😋✨

The air smelled like sweet vanilla, the bowls were piled high with cereal, and our school-age campers were completely in their element. There is something so special about watching a group of kids huddled over a bowl, taking turns, problem-solving how to spread sticky treats evenly, and celebrating their success together.

When our school-agers get hands-on in the kitchen, they are secretly practicing some major life skills:

🧪 Science in Action: Watching solids change form as the sticky ingredients mix together.
🤝 Teamwork & Communication: Taking turns stirring the thick mixture and dividing up classroom responsibilities.

Plus, getting to eat your own science experiment at the end is the ultimate reward!

Our school-agers completely took over Green Acres Bowl. There is something so rewarding about watching a child step up to the lane, completely lock in their focus, release the ball, and immediately turn around to look for their friends' reactions.

No matter what the final scorecards said, our crew walked out feeling like absolute champions. 😍

Learning happens in so many little moments throughout the day. Play, conversations, routines, friendships, and curiosity all help children build confidence, skills, and connection. The more we understand how children learn, the better we can support them.
