Getting your family ready for the upcoming school year involves getting school supplies, a backpack, and updating your child's shot record.
For parents, this also includes taking time to take care of yourself with a free and easy check of your blood pressure.
NET Health has a program called Delivering Resources and Empowering All Mothers (D.R.E.A.M.) that will offer free blood pressure screenings at the Tyler ISD Head Start Orientation.
Get your blood pressure numbers checked either on Thursday July 29th and on Friday July 30th at Hubbard Middle School.

Salmonella, Cyclospora, Campylobacter, and dozens of diseases are being prevented from spread in East Texas by our Disease Surveillance Division.
Reports of infectious diseases from various sources are received by our epidemiologists who promptly investigate to determine the cause and appropriate control measures are implemented by our Disease Surveillance Division to prevent further spread.
NET Health offers Disease Surveillance services in Smith, Gregg, Wood, Rains, Van Zandt, Henderson, and Anderson counties.

How East Texas health officials track disease cases before they become outbreaks Five cases of cyclospora have been reported in East Texas, according to the Northeast Texas Public Health District, but officials say the cases do not appear to be connected.

Food Handlers Classes is a great way to learn how to prevent the spread of foodborne illnesses, and these classes are best for persons who work at restaurants, food trucks, farmers markets, and at home-based cooking businesses.
