Our GCS Shotgun Club just wrapped up the 2025-26 season at the SCTP Texas State Championship, and we could not be more proud of how our athletes competed against 351 shooters from across the state.

Big congratulations to our standout performers:

Nora Myrick took 1st in Sport S***t (Ladies Intermediate Advanced), 2nd in Super Sporting, 3rd in S***t, AND earned a DFW League HOA buckle. She also shot her first 25 straight in Sport S***t this weekend.

Micah Crenshaw grabbed 2nd in Super Sporting, 3rd in S***t Doubles, and 3rd in Sport S***t (Men's Intermediate Entry), plus a DFW Regional HOA buckle. And he shot his first 25 straight in S***t.

Cambridge Rutherford took 3rd in Sport S***t and earned a DFW League HOA buckle (Ladies JV/Senior).

Daniel Minick and Hudson Fulcher both shot their first 25 straight in Trap. First of many.

GRACE GIRLS ATHLETICS WINS TAPPS OVERALL AWARD

Grace Community School has been named the TAPPS Overall Girls Athletics Award winner for the 2025-2026 school year.

This award goes to the school whose teams accumulate the most points based on their finishes in TAPPS district and state competitions throughout the year. Our girls totaled 35 points in 2025-2026, anchored by a State Championship soccer team, State Runner-up finishes in cross country and swimming, and every single GCS girls sport advancing to the TAPPS State Playoffs.

Every sport. All the way to state.

Congratulations to our athletes and coaches. This is what a program looks like when everyone shows up and competes.
