Originally, this USDA inspected facility was founded in 1947 as Tyler Packing Co. They began by quickly gaining a reputation for producing locally famous summer sausage, bacon, hams, chili, and hot links. Additionally operating a slaughter floor for the first 40 years provided East Texas with a convenient and efficient place to get their meat processed. As time went on the kill floor closed and Tyler Pack focused in on their classic smoked products until 2020. Today, as Tip Top Packing Co., we continue to honor the legacy of Tyler Packing by producing these classic products. We've also expanded our range to include new items like beef tallow, smoked turkeys, smoked turkey legs, smoked pork tenderloin, and many others. In addition to our product line, we've grown our services to offer custom beef and pork processing for ranchers of all sizes. We've also introduced private label smoking, using our original brick smokers and cherished recipes to give others the opportunity to put their names on this East Texas originals. Popular products include beef tallow smoked sausage, smoked pork bacon, smoked hams, smoked beef bacon, snack sticks, and brisket queso.
