This past 12 months has been hard. Just allot going on in our personal lives. I’m hoping I win the lottery because I don’t know how nor do I have the motivation in me to think of something creative to spawn the finances needed to build this dream. I’m on a winning roll though and that is highly out of the norm so maybe it’s a sign and God will bless us because I think it is the only dream I have that I believe I could actually accomplish if I had the means. if I won the lottery, I would purchase a large amount of land and I would build a subdivision for all my friends and family and I would create a self-sufficient ranch with transitional housing and a rescue for animals and a community garden. We would embark on this mission to create a wonderful place for anyone in our community. it’s a big dream, but anything is possible. I want to say that I appreciate each, and everyone of you who has come to follow our page even though there has been no activity as of late I guess it keeps me with that glimmer of hope, while I am embarked on a mission to work on myself to bring myself clarity and the motivation, and the confidence that I will need.

One day a young boy was going to fish. He had never fished before, but knew that could do it. He had watched his father and grandfather many times in the past, and was confident in his untested abilities. So he packed his gear and set off to catch his family their supper.

When he got to the spot he dropped his line into the churning pool, sat down on the mossy log, and prayed.

“ Dear lord please help me catch a fish,” he exclaimed in his boyish way. “My family is hungry and I know I can do it, he continued.

The boy never caught a fish that day. But he did learn a valuable lesson. God doesn’t always answer our prayers, at least not in the ways we expect him or hope that he will.

Our minds seek comfort, and are in need of easy answers. But God sees the bigger picture for each of our lives. Some may see the boy’s failure to bring home a fish for his family’s dinner, but the boy saw it as an opportunity to build his faith. To trust God and his grace; as a challenge to build on his own spiritual growth.

You see, that boy became a fisherman, not of food, but of men. He knew that it wasn’t God who failed to help him catch a fish, but his own. God is good! And the fish in that pond were poisonous.

Sometimes when you are cold, scared, and hungry reaching out for a miracle; your unanswered prayers are the miracles you seek. God is with you!

What unanswered prayers have become miracles? What prayers are you thankful  God had the wisdom not to answer?
