That hour-plus immigration line at Heathrow? US travelers can skip it this summer.

Americans can now use the UK's eGates at major UK airports, which cuts the wait dramatically compared with the standard non-resident line that can run well over an hour at peak times.

If you're heading to London or anywhere in the UK this summer, this is a real time-saver on day one of your trip. Save this so you remember to head for the eGates when you land.

What does a travel advisor actually do? Last month, Patti booked a $33,778 Tauck Panama journey for one of our clients.

Family-owned since 1925. Travel + Leisure World's Best. The Panama Canal, the rainforest, and a small group led by a Tauck Director.

Tauck is one of our most trusted partners. The kind of trip we book often.

Heading to wine country? You can now skip the SFO traffic entirely.

Delta is adding service to Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS), which drops you right in the heart of Napa and Sonoma instead of fighting traffic north from San Francisco. It also puts Delta head-to-head with Alaska on the route, and more competition tends to be good news for fares.

If a wine country trip is on your radar, flying straight into STS can save you a couple of hours and a rental car headache. Ask us how to pair it with the right hotel.

Last April Marilyn sailed with Single+Passion on AmaWaterways to the Danube

One of our advisors, Marilyn, just got back from an AmaWaterways river cruise on the Danube. She traveled with 31 travelers from Single+Passion, a Southern California community led by Laurie, sailed Budapest to Vilshofen from April 8 to 15, then stayed on for three more nights in Prague. Four countries on the river, plus the Czech Republic for the land portion.

When the group decided to do a river cruise together, Marilyn went along to make sure everything ran the way it should. This is the part of working with a Virtuoso advisor that does not show up in a booking confirmation.

A few things worth knowing about AmaWaterways on the Danube:It is one of the easier itineraries to plan for a first river cruise. Castles, vineyards, walkable old towns, and an unhurried pace.

Adding Prague on the back end is one of the better extensions out there. Three nights is the right amount of time. There are group rates and amenities you cannot access on your own. We can pull those when a group reaches the right size. For solo travelers, AmaWaterways is one of the most welcoming lines on the water. If you have a community, friend group, church, or milestone trip in mind, this is what planning with us looks like.

Three Mediterranean cruise mistakes we see almost every first-time cruiser about to make.

One: booking an itinerary that leaves Santorini before sunset. The whole reason you go there is the light at 7pm. If your ship pulls out at 3, you missed it.

Two: picking the cruise with the most ports. Eight cities in seven days sounds like a great deal until you realize half of them are tender ports where you wait 90 minutes to get off the ship.

Three: comparing base fares without checking what's bundled. A $3,000 cruise that adds $2,000 in WiFi, gratuities, drinks, and shore excursions is not a better deal than a $4,500 cruise where most of that is included. Run the math on the all-in number.

Vietnam Trip Report: Da Nang & Hoi An | TripMatters 06/01/2026

One of our advisors, Maria Matthews, just got back from Vietnam with tips you only get from someone who actually went.

Da Nang is one of the most underrated coastal cities in Southeast Asia. Wide beaches, relaxed pace, and growing five-star resort options. It pairs perfectly with Hoi An, just 45 minutes away. Stay in Da Nang for the beach, Hoi An for the walkable historic charm, or split between both.

Maria's three rules:

Download Grab before you land. It's the Uber of Southeast Asia. Skip the street taxis.

The Hoi An tailors can be excellent, but quality varies. Ask your hotel for names, bring a garment to copy, and be specific.

Go February through May. Summer is brutal and fall brings flooding rain.

For a first trip to Vietnam, an advisor saves you hours of research and unlocks Virtuoso perks at top properties. We're based in Tustin and plan central Vietnam itineraries.

Uber sells hotels now. 700,000 of them, powered by Expedia.

Convenient. But an app doesn't know the suite faces the parking lot. It doesn't know the property is mid-renovation. It doesn't know your anniversary is next week.
That's what a trusted advisor is for.

Travel protection isn’t just an add-on, it’s part of planning a trip properly.

From flight delays and cancellations to lost luggage and unexpected medical situations, travel protection helps cover the parts of travel that don’t go as planned.

Most travelers focus on booking flights and hotels, but protecting your trip is what determines how smoothly everything runs when something goes wrong.

It’s not about expecting issues, it’s about being prepared for them.

If you’re planning a golf trip, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is one of the top resorts to consider in Scottsdale.

Located next to TPC Scottsdale, you have direct access to two championship courses, including the Stadium Course that hosts the WM Phoenix Open.

Beyond golf, the resort offers a full luxury experience with multiple pools, high-end dining like Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, and two standout spas, making it easy to balance time on the course with relaxation.

For a more elevated stay, the Privado Villas offer a quieter, more private experience with a dedicated concierge and exclusive pool, while still being connected to everything on property.

For golfers looking to combine great courses with a full resort experience, this is one of the most well-rounded options in Scottsdale.
