Westside Ministries has been helping folks find their way for 42 years. The mission is to feed those in need an evening homecooked meal most days. The program has a summer camp and a farm and garden to teach youth how to raise produce and livestock to be self-sufficient.

We honor the first Memorial Day at WSM. Remember injustice but always take your pain to the cross. Coming together is more important now than ever. Recognizing our part in the sins of forefathers and repentance can change the trajectory of our country. The brass bands are great. But this holiday is about being change. It is about righting injustice where we are. Let’s honor the past by learning from it.

The First Memorial Day Memorial Day is the day that our nation takes pause to celebrate the service and sacrifice of our military heroes that gave their lives to secure our freedoms.

To honor Maria Pray’s retirement from teaching we are serving her favorite WSM meal. Spaghetti and Lasagna Salad Roll butter and dessert. Maria eats for free. Everyone else $10. Please help us get kids to camp. Prepay on Cenmo or at the door.
