El Centro Tupelo

Chess & English/Spanish Class. Today was another CHESS day @ El Centro AND, it was our first SPANISH/ENGLISH class!
We are excited to start this new and fun class! Today we only met with our English speaking students as we gave a class overview. We'll meet separately with our Spanish speaking students soon as we can plan to pair our TEAMS. All participants will be sent a YouTube video to study and we'll be ready for CONVERSATION next Monday. Clase de ajedrez e inglés/español. ¡Hoy fue otro día de ajedrez en El Centro y, además, tuvimos nuestra primera presentacion de español/inglés!
¡Nos entusiasma comenzar esta clase nueva y divertida! Hoy nos reunimos únicamente con los estudiantes de habla inglesa para ofrecer una visión general del curso. Nos reuniremos por separado con los estudiantes hispanohablantes pronto para organizar la formación de parejas o equipos. Se enviará un video de YouTube a todos los participantes para que lo estudien, y así estaremos listos para practicar conversación el próximo lunes. Nos vemos.

CORRECTION: Registration @ Tupelo Middle School instead of high school. Reminder - Tupelo Schools Online Registration began June 22 & in-person will be July 7-17. Both are required.
Non-english speaking parents can register students on June 29 or 30 at the middle school.

Our kids are ready for FIFA futbol! They are cheering for USA, Mexico, Argentina, and Portugal. And yes, we did practice our reading skills and had guest speakers 😊.

Hoy tuvimos un dia muy divertido en El Centro, despues de poquito trabajo. 😍

Do you want to learn Spanish? We will start a conversational interactive class on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm - June 22nd. Class will consists of English & Spanish speaking participants that will practice the weaker language thru conversation. We already have multiple folks signed up but we need English speakers that would like to learn Spanish. Please text Ms Lety or leave a message below if interested. Limited spaces are available.

Vamos a comenzar una clase de conversacion de ingles/espanol en pares - los lunes de 5:30 to 6:30 pm - 22 de junio. Ya tenemos estudiantes registrados pero buscamos estudiantes que quieran aprender espanol. La clase va ser muy interesante con tarea para que se preparen cada lunes. Hay cupo limitado. ¡Las familias de El Centro están invitadas! Tupelo Community Theater presenta un musical juvenil, *Seussical*, en el Lyric Theater del centro. Se ha invitado nosotros a asistir el martes; habrá refrescos a las 6:30 p. m. y la función comenzará a las 7:00 p. m. Para todos los niños en la familia, y un (o mas) padre!
