Tupelo Ballet dancers 🩰 had a wonderful opportunity on Monday to participate in a professional photoshoot 📸
Photoshoots are an integral element of dance education in the 21st century. Dancers gain practical knowledge needed in preparing portfolio materials for auditions and college applications. The session also acts as a crucial tool in refining technique, and the experience empowers young dancers to build artistry outside of the traditional classroom and studio environment. Not to mention photoshoots serve as a great team building exercise, provide a major self confidence boost to each dancer, and it is simply a lot of fun—even in 95 degrees! ☀️☺️

Did you know your toe pads can completely change the way a pointe shoe fits?

Different toe pads have different thicknesses, cushioning, and materials, which can affect sizing and comfort. To ensure the most accurate pointe shoe fitting, please bring the toe pads you currently dance in.

Need new toe pads? No problem! Just let us know during your fitting, and we'll help you find the perfect option for your feet and your shoes.

We are so excited to introduce Mommy & Me for dancers ages 18 months–3 years! 💕🩰

This Saturday class from 9:00 - 9:45 am is the perfect way for our youngest dancers to begin exploring the world of dance with their favorite grown-up by their side. Through music, movement, games, and imaginative play, little ones will build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement in a fun and nurturing environment. If Saturday does not work for your dancer, but you are still interested in this class, please reach out so that we can talk with you about different options!

With exciting new themes each month, every class brings a new adventure for dancers and parents to enjoy together. We can't wait to welcome our newest dancers to the NMDC family and help them take their very first dance steps! ✨
