We have had a busy week painting bridges and cleaning up. This week we picked up trash on Walsh Rd trying to help the city out. We picked up 5 truck loads of garbage.! We should not be trashing our city and county. We live in one of the most special places in the country, let’s respect it more and stop littering!

We also had a project this week with Tombigbee Valley Water Management. They are cleaning out a ditch that all the water from High Forrest runs too. Hopefully this will help with some of there flooding issues.

We have had a busy week this week cleaning up after the rain and ice storm. We have gone over every road in our district to make sure we got all the pot holes. If you see any please let me know.

This is Waste Management garbage pick up for the county. Most of District 3 will be picked up on Monday. Starting October 30th

Y’all please be patient with us. We are doing everything possible to get caught back up and make this right.

Lee County officials scramble to catch up with garbage collection backlog TUPELO — Lee County residents may notice a backup in garbage collection as officials scramble to catch up with the workload while short-staffed.

Lee County, the City of Tupelo, and the Tombigbee Valley Water Management District recently finished a joint project to stabilize this ditch bank located near The Villages subdivision within the city.

While the County normally doesn’t cover projects like this within the city limits; I’m happy that we, the city, and the water management board could come together to fix this much needed problem in our area.

This week, we’ve been cleaning up County Road 1740 & Heardtown Road.

As always, please let us know if you see anything that needs cleaning up in District 3.

I want to take this time to ask for y’all’s help. We’ve picked up a mattress and a couch, along with other junk, on the side of CR 151. Please dispose of your junk and trash in the proper places and not on the side of our roads; and if you see anyone littering, report it!

Our road crew works extremely hard to make our district the cleanest in Lee County, but we need your help too!

This week we fixed the head wall on CR 1836.

I’d also like to take this time to thank my road crew. They are the reason that District 3 is the cleanest and most well kept area of Lee County.

For the last few weeks, we have been working to pave County Road 41. I want to thank my road crew for their hard work in getting this done! I’ve had a lot of help from my crew and our workers in the Office of the Board of Supervisors office to get this project done. With their help, we are making District 3 of Lee County one of the cleanest areas of Mississippi!
