Project Spotlight: Flint Fire Mercantile

Construction is wrapping up on the Seneca Cayuga Nation’s Flint Fire Mercantile in Grove - and the momentum is real.
Part of a larger multi-phase development, the Mercantile is designed to be more than a stop along the road. It’s a welcoming, branded destination that serves both the community and travelers with efficient flow, durable materials, and a strong visual presence.
Excited to see this one nearing the finish line. Final photos coming soon.

Along Route 66, the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum stands as both a cultural landmark and a piece of architectural history.
The museum was originally designed by Murray Jones Murray (MJM) - the influential Tulsa firm founded by David and Lee Murray alongside Robert Lawton Jones. From Tulsa International Airport to City Hall, MJM helped shape the region’s modern identity with a restrained, “less is more” approach rooted in the International Style.
As the museum works to reposition its collection, refresh exhibits, and modernize the visitor experience, our role has been to build on MJM’s foundation. This master planning effort focused on clarifying circulation, elevating storytelling, and preparing the facility for the next generation of visitors while respecting the clean lines and disciplined detailing that define the original architecture.
Respecting the legacy. Clarifying the future. Strengthening a Route 66 landmark for years to come.

Under the Canopy is bringing new life to West Tulsa’s former Park Elementary - closed since 2016 and reopened in 2025 as a TPS charter school serving Pre-K through 3rd grade, and growing to 5th.
What began as an after-school nature enrichment program is now a full-day model that blends strong academics with intentional outdoor education.
Originally designed by Don Honn - known for shaping Tulsa’s Lortondale Neighborhood - the building carries a meaningful architectural legacy. Our approach respects that history while adapting the campus to support today’s students: brighter classrooms, stronger indoor-outdoor connections, and space to grow.
Honoring the past. Designing for the next generation.

We’re excited to be part of the next chapter for the Will Rogers Memorial Museum.
Partnering with Mass Architects, we led the concept design for a respectful addition and campus updates - including a new entry plaza, expanded visitor spaces, and a 20,000 SF addition for archives, offices, and events - all while preserving the legacy that makes this place so meaningful.
Will Rogers had a way of delivering wisdom with a wink - dignified, sharp, and never overdone. We tried to carry that same spirit into the design: welcoming instead of grand, confident but not flashy, with thoughtful touches that unfold naturally as you move through the building.
Honoring the past. Making room for what’s next. And doing it with a little Oklahoma charm along Route 66.

Local Bank Hulbert received an AIA Eastern Oklahoma Merit Award, recognizing its strong connection to community, craft, and place.

Designed as the first in a series of regional branches, the Local Bank Hulbert Branch reflects the Bank’s welcoming, community-oriented values through sweeping canopies, an inviting double-height lobby, signature patterned brick, and a landscaped park setting.

As we celebrate Hulbert, we’re also excited to see the next branch move into construction in Grove, OK.
