My Friends,

As we approach Election Day, we took this Sunday to reflect. I have been thinking deeply about this journey and the incredible people who made it possible.

Just a few months ago, this campaign was little more than a whisper. We stared down the prospect of communicating with over a hundred thousand Tulsa County voters. We started without the political machine, without the insiders, and without the backing of the powerful special interests that have controlled Tulsa County politics for far too long.

What we did have was faith.

Faith that our steps were ordered. Faith that the people of Tulsa County deserved honest leadership. Faith that public safety could be improved. Faith that transparency matters. Faith that ordinary citizens could still stand up and challenge a system that too often serves itself before it serves the public.

And because of you, that faith became a movement.

Together, we knocked doors across Tulsa County. We talked with our neighbors. We made phone calls. We put up signs. We shared posts. We attended forums. We had difficult conversations. We welcomed Republicans of all stripes who all agreed on one thing: our justice system should belong to the people, not to insiders.

I have had the privilege of meeting thousands of you over the course of this campaign. From the Skiatook Senior Center to the Bixby Resource Center. From Que Buena to Cinderella Chats. I've listened to victims who felt forgotten. Parents worried about crime. Police officers frustrated by the revolving door. Taxpayers tired of waste. Young people who want to build their futures here. Seniors who remember a different Tulsa and believe we can become that city again.

We educated voters about the DAs office. We talked about this often forgotten function in government. The community learned together about crime, prosecution, and public safety. Many people thought they didn’t have to care about the District Attorney unless they broke the law or became a crime victim. We showed Tulsa County that all of us should care who our DA is and how they’re operating.

Every one of those conversations strengthened my conviction that Tulsa County is filled with such good people who love this community and want it to reach its full potential.

No matter what happens on Tuesday, history has already been made.

We proved that someone who’s only ever been a lawyer and a leader can stand up to an entrenched political establishment. We proved that transparency still matters. We proved that voters are paying attention. We proved that courage is contagious.

But I believe our story is not finished.

I believe Tulsa County is ready for a District Attorney who will put victims first, prosecute dangerous criminals, spend taxpayer dollars responsibly, and restore public trust in a system that has lost so much of it.
Most importantly, I believe Tulsa County is ready for change.

On Tuesday, when you walk into that voting booth, remember that your vote is powerful. It is your voice. It is your opportunity to shape the future of public safety, justice, and accountability in our community.

Whether you've been with us from day one or joined us in the final days, thank you. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for believing that we could do something bigger than ourselves.
This campaign has never been about one person.

It has always been about all of us.

Now, let's finish what we started. In faith. Together.

With gratitude and hope,

Colleen McCarty
Candidate for Tulsa County District Attorney

Serious About Public Safety. Smart With Your Money.

I am here once again clearing up the misinformation being spread by our current DA.

My opponent is telling people I have NO prosecution or jury trial experience. He even went so far as to say I haven’t been a defense attorney despite going against me in court six months ago. He has claimed this online, in person, and now on all of his marketing materials as well as on the radio.

The truth is I’ve worked at 3 prosecutors offices, one urban, one rural, and one federal. I have also been on jury trial teams for both defense and prosecution (federal). Yes, I even sat at the table IN the courtroom, even though my opponent refuses to accept this.

This is just another example of our current District Attorney’s willingness to mislead in order to get a win. The focus should be on the truth.

If you vote me into that office I can assure you that I will represent you with integrity and transparency. You won’t have to worry about hidden evidence and record-setting wrongful convictions. I will lead that office as I have run this campaign. On provable facts.

Every claim I have made can be verified by a public document, which is currently compiled at TulsaCountyDA.com

This Tuesday from 7am-7pm I hope you go to your polling location and cast a vote for truth, cast a vote for integrity, and cast a vote for accountability.

I’m Colleen McCarty and I would be honored to be your next District Attorney.

🚗 Great to meet Outsiders DX Station Sperry, OK out at Hogs and Hot Rods. They run the DX station that was a filming location for The Outsiders. It’s in Sperry, Oklahoma. They are now proud McCarty for DA supporters! We love Tulsa and have to work to keep it a destination that folks want to visit. Keeping our community safe is a huge part of that. ♥️ 🤍 💙

Candidate McCarty had a wonderful lunch at the Skiatook Senior Center on Friday. Our seniors are a rich treasure of wisdom, humor, and kindness. Thank you to Jim and Sandi Prather of Skiatook for all their support and friendship. Don’t forget to get out and vote!

My opponent continues to say that the wrongful conviction settlements Tulsans will have to pay are not due to him because they happened before he took office. Listen to this breakdown of the Jamerson case and how involved he was in trying to keep Jamerson’s conviction in place. Thank you to Straight Up Dave for the interview!

We received the following endorsement and letter from Diana Clayton, a former Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa, LeFlore, and Sequoyah counties as well as a former Assistant Attorney General and Director of the Justice Administration Program at Rogers State University. Thank you, Diana for your volunteer research project and your commitment to justice!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am reaching out today because something happened recently that exposed me to the practice for repeat felony offenders in Tulsa County to repeatedly be given probation or their cases dismissed. Often, the cases were domestic violence or drug crimes, including drug trafficking. Drug trafficking is not eligible for probation under Oklahoma state statutes due to the seriousness of the crime. Before retirement, I spent 25 years as an Assistant District Attorney, Assistant Oklahoma Attorney General and a Criminal Justice professor. Clearly, ineffectively addressed crime within our county is very alarming.

A couple of weeks ago I received a call from a former college student who is now a law enforcement officer. He wanted to ask a legal question, and I am always glad to be a resource. The criminal offender who prompted this call has had numerous arrests in Tulsa and other Oklahoma counties for property and drug crimes, including drug trafficking. Tulsa County gave him probation four times on four different felonies over a period of eight years. He was eventually sentenced to prison by another county.

Two friends and I performed an analysis. An attorney friend, another friend with a PhD and specialty in statistical analysis, and I examined 2025 Tulsa County felony cases to determine if being so lax in holding criminal offenders accountable was a common practice. We examined a statistically significant sample with a 95% confidence interval. I beseech you to review the findings (available on mccartyforDA.com/press). I anticipate you will be as stunned as I was!

I am alarmed to learn the practices under the prosecutorial approach of current Tulsa County District Attorney do not consistently hold criminals accountable under a practice to prevent future criminal conduct. Please note, I write not for the purpose of personal malice or disrespect against the 37- year District Attorney. Rather, I write because my career in the practice and study of criminal justice affirms what the data reveals - it is time for a change in the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office. Tulsa County will benefit from a fresh approach that ends the current practice of repeat offenders not being held accountable.

On Tuesday, June 16, one of the two Republican candidates will become the District Attorney in Tulsa County for the next four years. There are no Democratic candidates. DA Steve Kunzweiller has had years to bring about measurable change to reduce crime but that has not occurred. His opponent, Attorney Colleen McCarty, brings a record of responsible management, effective employee training and the pursuit of justice. Review her website to learn how she relies on facts and data vs. offering only unsubstantiated, bald assertions. McCartyforDA.com

I respectfully ask for your Republican vote, and the vote of your fellow Republicans, this Tuesday June 16, to elect Colleen McCarty for Tulsa County District Attorney. If you are not a registered Republican, I beseech you to reach out to your friends, neighbors, and associates who are eligible to vote on Tuesday. Share this letter if you would like. Watch the attached Rotary Club DA Candidate Debate earlier this week. Crime impacts each household. Vote for change.

Respectfully,
Diana Clayton, Esq.

We had a wonderful evening of fellowship last night and Candidate McCarty finally got to meet Ms. Linda Wiland! She is a beautiful person inside and out we are thankful for all the women who have shown up through this campaign to demand a better justice system for themselves, their daughters, and their granddaughters.
