Driver survives intense crash in East Tulsa Wednesday night
It happened at around 8:30 PM in the 4900 Blk of North Garnett near the Amazon warehouse.
Police say a semi truck was making a left turn onto Garnett. The SUV was traveling Northbound and slammed into the side of the truck.
Investigators say the impact had enough force to flip the semi trailer onto its side.
Firefighters had to cut the male driver out of the SUV. He was rushed to the hospital. He is injured but, expected to survive.
The truck driver was ok.
Investigators say speed and distracted driving may have played a role however, the exact cause of the crash is unclear.
NEW BODY CAM FOOTAGE: Police respond to a fight with a gun involved at the Black Wall Street biker rally
Tulsa police recently released body camera video of an incident on the last night of the Greenwood Biker event.
According to police at around 11PM on May 16th 2026 officers were in the area black wall street as the event was concluding.
Officers appear to be having a calm, light hearted interaction with a gentleman when chaos broke out nearby.
Police say a fight broke out between multiple people and at least one officer called out that a gun was involved. Officers made their way over to the fight and observed a 16 year old male clenching his waistband as if he had a firearm.
Units quickly began to detain this individual. As he was resisting arrest, an officer pulled the gun out of his waistband and cleared it (made it safe). After a struggle, the individual was taken into custody.
According to officials, the teen suspect began experiencing a medical episode. Police rendered aid to him and then carried him nearly half a mile to an ambulance. The juvenile suspect was booked into the Community Intervention Center.
Charges:
possession of a stolen firearm
possession of a firearm by a minor
and resisting arrest.

Owasso: traffic delays expected after driver crashes into stoplight control box and then flees the scene
It happened at around 10PM Monday night at the intersection of 86th & Memorial. Due to the incident, the stoplight will not be functional in all directions. The intersection will be turned into a 4 way stop. Officials were unable to provide an ETA on the repair.
Alleged drunk driver causes major crash leaving a mother and her baby injured Tuesday morning
It happened at around 1AM at the intersection of Virgin & Norfolk just north of Pine & Peoria.
According to police the alleged drunk driver was operating the Nissan Altima. The suspect turned in front of a Hyundai which occupied by a mother and a 1 year old baby. Both vehicles collided, the Nissan careened over the curb and slammed into a large utility pole, the Hyundai ended up in someone’s front yard.
First responders arrived and rendered aid to the baby and mother. They were taken to the hospital, both are expected to survive.
Police say the alleged intoxicated driver, a female in her 20’s, admitted to drinking liquor. A field sobriety test was conducted at which she allegedly failed. She was also taken to the hospital to be checked out, after that she will be booked into jail.
Woman lucky to be alive after crashing into horse trailer in North Tulsa
It happened at around 9:30 PM Monday night on Oswego near Apache.
Police say for unknown reasons the driver accidentally crashed into the front end of a 5th wheel horse trailer. The hitch portion extends down a few feet and upon impact, protruded through the windshield narrowly missing the woman’s head and upper torso.
The woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance but, she’s not seriously injured and is expected to survive.
Police say due to the unique impact the airbags didn’t deploy. They also noted if the car would have been a foot to the right, she could have been seriously injured or worse.
Officials confirmed that this was simply an accident, the driver is not being investigated for DUI or any other violations.
Disturbance with a gun at a large gathering of teens leads to a mass police response in East Tulsa
According to officials at around 11PM Sunday night officers were called out to De La Rosa Party Pall near Admiral and Harvard. A 911 caller reported that juveniles wearing masks were threatening people with a gun at a gathering/birthday party.
Officers arrived and found an assembly consisting of hundreds of young adults and juveniles. Officers immediately went to work searching for the suspects mentioned above. After a short time, units did locate a group of kids matching the description, although they didn’t have the gun. They were detained and released to a responsible party.
While that was happening fights were breaking out in this “party hall”. Officers were able to make entry and disperse the crowd.
Facts:
• Multiple juveniles were reported to be consuming drugs and alcohol
•The majority of the kids were out past curfew
•No management or responsible party could be located at this business
•Some juveniles were reunited with a responsible party, some wandered off onto the streets
•No serious injuries were reported
•According to TPD, A Tulsa Fire Marshall responded to the scene and closed the facility due to it exceeding occupancy. Unknown time frame on this condemnation or if any fines were issued to the business.
Man hit by a vehicle and left to suffer in East Tulsa Monday morning
It happened at around 12AM Sunday night/Monday morning on S 73rd E Ave near 4th Pl.
According to officials a passerby saw the man laying in the street, injured, yelling for help. The Good Samaritan stopped and called 911. First responders arrived, got him loaded into an ambulance and transported him to a hospital.
Police say he has some severe injures, bad enough that he was immobilized and unable to walk however, he is expected to survive.
Investigators say the victim didn’t get a good look at the car that ran him over. Police weren’t able to find any witnesses nearby but, they are canvassing the neighborhood in search of any surveillance or doorbell footage that may have captured the suspect who drove off.

Caught on camera: Automatic gunfire during interview with police in North Tulsa Mon. morning
At around 12:30 AM police responded to a shots fired call in the area of MLK Jr Blvd & E 56th St N. The initial dispatch stated that neighbors heard more than 20 shots and rounds were fired into a home.
While I was at that scene gathering a story, another shooting occurred nearby. Immediately officers could be seen mobilizing and preparing for that next call.
Although those shots were fired, it seems as though no one called 911 regarding the shooting we heard. Nothing came across the scanner, so I didn’t have a scene to capture.
No injuries were reported across both of these incidents.

Drive by shooting in Owasso Saturday night leaves neighbors stunned and questions unanswered
It happened at around 12AM Saturday night/Sunday morning on Cedar St near Fourth Ave.
According to officials multiple shots were fired and at least one home was struck by bullets in what appeared to be a drive by.
Nobody saw the vehicle or the shooter and police were left with canvassing the area and looking for surveillance footage in an attempt to identify a suspect.
As of 1 AM Sunday morning officals say the shooter is still on the loose.
