Kids Helping Kids Helping Tulsa through the simple act of a lemonade stand

05/18/2026

Three hours. One pop-up stand. $456 raised. πŸ‹πŸ’›

Saturday was a zesty one! Our young volunteers delivered some lemonade (and energy) to Security Bank's Community Shred Day and the community delivered their generosity right back.

Big thanks to Security Bank for inviting us to the party, to their customers for stopping by, and to our volunteers who made it all happen.

Started in 1994, The Lemon-Aid Project is a city-wide charity event where kids are provided with all the materials to set up lemonade stands to raise money for those in need. It is a free and fun Tulsa tradition that empowers kids of all ages to be impactful entrepreneurs and philanthropists within their community.

We have a winner! πŸ‹

The artist behind The Lemon-Aid Project's 2026 volunteer t-shirt design is Giao Dinh, an 11th grader at Union Public Schools - Tulsa, OK.

Here's how it happened, in the artist's words: "My sister sent me the Instagram post telling me to submit a design while I was in my AP art class. There was about 10 minutes left in class, so I decided to quickly doodle something... My design was made after I came out of a major art slump, so the contest motivated me toward creating more art. I tried to capture the feeling of happiness through my lemons and how we can add to our lives (and others) just by being present."

Ten minutes. One little doodle. A slump broken. That's the whole point of Lemon-Aid.

Thank you to all 21 artists from 6 schools who submitted 23 designs, and to the 290 community members who voted. Watch for Giao's design on hundreds of Lemon-Aid volunteer t-shirts during Labor Day Weekend, September 4–7, 2026.
