✨Softening fine lines & marionette lines with the “ferning” technique✨

Instead of placing filler directly into the crease, I use a technique called ferning — where tiny strands of filler are strategically placed in a pattern that helps support the skin from underneath.

This approach allows the area to soften without looking puffy or overfilled, and it creates a much more natural result.

For most patients, this is done gradually over a few sessions so the filler can settle and integrate into the tissue. I typically use about ½ syringe over 3 treatment sessions, allowing the skin to slowly improve and the filler to find its new home.

The goal isn’t to erase every line in one visit — it’s to restore support and create a smoother, more refreshed appearance over time.

These photos were taken immediately after treatment, so some bruising and swelling are present and completely normal. Results will continue to settle over the next several days.
