🔬 W**d Word Wednesday 🔬

Today’s word: Fractional Distillation — the process that separates cannabinoids by boiling points.

Extractors use it to pull out pure compounds like THC or CBD by carefully heating and cooling the oil in stages. The result? That super-clear, high-potency distillate you see in many carts and edibles.

It’s science, not magic — but here’s the twist: purity isn’t always better. When we strip away the plant’s natural terpenes and minor cannabinoids, we lose some of the symphony that makes full-spectrum products so powerful.

🌈 Cannabis is more than chemistry — it’s connection.

I know I’ve been a little MIA lately. The truth is — my health is still very much in limbo, and I’ve been struggling. I’ve had to prioritize my energy for my family, and honestly, there hasn’t been much left after that.

But I’m not down for the count. I’m still here, still fighting, still healing — and I will come back strong. I promise. 💚

Tomorrow night, we’re still holding Book Club Live — diving into Jack Herer’s The Emperor Wears No Clothes.

Join me tomorrow night at 7:00PM as we celebrate the writting of one of cannabis’s favorite father figures.🌿

MYTH BUSTER MONDAY 🚫🌿
“CBD cancels THC”

Let’s clear the smoke — CBD doesn’t erase THC, it balances it. Think of it like turning down the volume, not muting the song.

CBD can smooth out the edges of a high, ease anxiety, and make the experience feel more functional — but it won’t magically make you sober. The effects depend on your ratio, dose, and body chemistry.

Next time you’re shopping, check those labels: a 1:1 blend hits totally different than a 10:1. Knowledge = better vibes ✨

Save this for your next sesh and drop your favorite cannabis myth below 👇

“Good thing I like my friends canceled — like them clothed in Gucci and in scandal.” 💨✨

I love knowing who my friends are — the ones with matching scars.
The ones who’ve been judged, healed, and came back louder. 💚

In the cannabis world, we’ve all been called something — lazy, criminal, crazy.
Turns out, we were just early to self-awareness and plant medicine. 🌿

Here’s to the canceled ones — the real ones — who wear authenticity like couture and never apologize for healing out loud. If you have ever been canceled, just know, my DMs are always open and I definitely have matching scars.

🌱 Names You Should Know: Nevil Schoenmakers

Meet Nevil Schoenmakers (1956–2019), better known as the “King of Cannabis.”
He was a Dutch-Australian breeder who changed cannabis forever by founding The Seed Bank of Holland in the 1980s—the world’s first cannabis seed bank.

Why He Matters:
• 🌍 Global Seed Access – Before Nevil, cannabis genetics were scattered and hard to find. His seed bank made legendary strains available worldwide.
• 🧬 Father of Modern Breeding – Many staples like Northern Lights, Haze hybrids, Skunk #1 crosses, and Super Silver Haze trace back to his work.
• 🏆 Cannabis Cup Champion – His strains dominated Amsterdam’s Cannabis Cups through the late ’80s and ’90s.
• ⚡ Legacy Lives On – Even after legal troubles and time away from the spotlight, Nevil’s genetics remain the backbone of modern cannabis.

Fun Fact:

Nevil wasn’t just a breeder—he was a rebel entrepreneur. At one point, his catalog was mailed worldwide, spreading strains like Northern Lights to underground growers in the U.S. and beyond.

🌿 W**d Word Wednesday: Landrace

Definition: A landrace is a pure, original cannabis strain that developed naturally in a specific region of the world without crossbreeding.

Why It Matters: Almost every modern hybrid strain we smoke today traces its genetics back to landraces. They’re like the “OG ancestors” of today’s cannabis.

Examples:
• 🌍 Afghan Kush (Afghanistan)
• 🌍 Durban Poison (South Africa)
• 🌍 Acapulco Gold (Mexico)
• 🌍 Thai (Thailand)

Fun Fact: Landraces adapted to their local environments over centuries, which is why you’ll find unique flavor, effect, and growth traits depending on their region.

✨ Engagement Idea: “If you could try any original landrace strain in its homeland, which one would it be?”

🎈Bubblegum Terpenes 🍬🌿

Ever cracked open a jar and thought “wait… why does this smell like bubblegum?” 🤯

That sweet, fruity, candy-like aroma isn’t magic—it’s terpenes at play. Bubblegum profiles are usually created by a blend of:

✨ Limonene – brings that citrusy brightness.
✨ Myrcene – adds soft, fruity undertones.
✨ Alpha-Terpineol – floral & candy-kissed.
✨ Geraniol – sweet, rosy, almost grape-like.

Together, they hit your senses like childhood bubblegum 🍬—but with a grown-up twist.

💡 Fun fact: the legendary Bubblegum strain (first bred in Indiana, perfected in Amsterdam) became famous for this profile, inspiring modern cultivars like Pink Bubblegum and Bubblegum Kush.

So next time you catch that nostalgic sweet note in your flower, you’ll know: it’s not just weed… it’s terpenes playing candy shop. 🎶🌿

💭 Real Talk Time

I know I just posted about the myth that cannabis is an “inherently toxic industry.” And while I stand by the truth—that this space is rooted in healing, advocacy, and community—
I also have to admit something: sometimes, the pressure and the toxicity really does get to me.

This industry is beautiful, but it’s also tough. Between shifting regulations, competition, and the leftover stigma we’re all still fighting against—it can feel overwhelming. Add in the personal battles we carry (hello, chronic illness warriors 👋), and the weight of it all gets heavy.

But here’s what I keep coming back to: 🌿
• The people in this community who are in it for the right reasons.
• The stories of healing and growth that remind me why I started sharing my journey.
• The vision of a future where cannabis is normalized, celebrated, and accessible.

✨ Friendly reminder: If you’re in this game, prioritize your physical and mental health. Everything we do comes from our minds and our bodies. If our psyches get out of whack because we’re running on empty, what we create will reflect that. Take care of yourself first—the work will be stronger for it.

So yeah, the toxicity exists. I feel it. Sometimes it knocks me down. But I refuse to let it define me—or this plant. I’m here for the long game, building with the ones who believe in better.

💚 Thanks for being part of this community. You keep me going more than you know.

Myth: “Cannabis is an inherently toxic industry.”

Fact: Like any industry, cannabis has its challenges—but it’s not inherently toxic. The culture and community around cannabis are deeply rooted in healing, creativity, advocacy, and plant medicine. What often feels “toxic” comes from regulations, corporate competition, and leftover stigma—not the plant or the people who love it.

✨ Many operators, patients, and advocates are working every day to build a healthier, more inclusive, and transparent industry. From sustainability practices to patient-first dispensaries, there are countless examples of people doing it right.

💡 Takeaway: Don’t let the loudest negative voices define the whole industry. The cannabis space is still young and evolving—and it’s full of passionate people pushing for positive change.
