CandleLight Rattery

Hello, we are temporarily closed due to moving, lack of funds, and avoiding the rbf outbreak going around the USA. Not sure when we'll be open again, may be a year+

When we open back up we'll get proven pathogen free lines (no myco, no rbf, no parvo which are all rampant in most pet rat lines. ) We will be getting from labs or breeders with paperwork to prove recent tests, we will be a closed rattery (no buyers can visit the rattery) to keep them pathogen free. We also won't be able to take returns or surrenders because of this.

We will be doing standard adoption application to ensure all rats find good homes, we will also be raising our own standards and not adopting out rats that I wouldn't be willing to breed (normally I sold shy or nurvice ones as pet only)

In order to ensure thease quality standards are met we will be sacrificing veriety. We will start up with one line, dumbo double Rex (selected to be hairless)

Once that one line meets our standards we will start one more line (bristle cinnamon silvermane self)

We may eventually have one line of hamsters(Blackbear syrians) and one of ASF, but that's 5 years or more in the future IF I can afford it/have time.

Just wanted to make an announcement, weve just confirmed we have the satin gene! We previosly only had cariers but as of this litter we have a male and female satin keeper ♥️

A black self female and a beige irish male, both dumbos. Ill post pics in the discord later tonight if anyone would like to see thease cuties! (not too shiny yet sence their parents were only carriers, but the next litter from that line will be beautiful!)

Thelma(black capped rex unexpressed martanfrom my line) and Summer(black Irish standard coat martan dumbo from Neok rattery) have been bred to Maril(blue Irish standard coat martan dumbo from Neok rattery) and they are due any day now.
This will be Amy and Summers 3rd and last litters

Amy(agouti Irish silvermane from my line) was bred to Reinhardt (agouti Irish from my line) and is due any day now

And finally, Gigi(mink verigated rex dumbo from Chelsea Coop) and Shadow (black verigated standard coat dumbo from Paganmage Gina Odle) have been bred to Koda (black irish standard coat dumbo from Jewl Mathis) and are due in around 3 weeks
This will be Gigi's 2nd litter, and Shadows first litter

Yesterday two of our 4 prego moms gave birth! Our martan litter had 11 boys and 4 girls, and our other litter had 8 boys and 3 girls :')

I also updated our service tab if anyone would like to see what we have for sale/reservation.

Summer and Amy nursed her (and the rest of their two litters) together, and Ms Lucca the prego Rex martan has fully taken her under her wing.

We have 14 new babies born today 😁

Also, we will not be closing down from the pandemic, but we ask that everyone visiting wear masks and gloves.
