At Tulsa Educare, we believe in developing lifelong learners—from infants taking their first steps to parents pursuing new careers and staff deepening their expertise in early childhood education. Learning is one of our core values, and we're committed to nurturing growth at every stage of life.

Tulsa Educare Hawthorne hosted an Adult College Interest Fair, bringing together community organizations that support adult education and career development. Parents and staff had the opportunity to explore educational pathways, discover valuable resources, and imagine what's possible as they work toward their goals and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

The biggest highlight of May was welcoming more than 300 early childhood professionals, partners, and funders to Tulsa for Educare Network’s Catalyst 26 Summit. The energy is still going strong!

As a proud member of the Educare Network, Tulsa Educare is part of a nationwide movement transforming early childhood education in 25 schools across 15 states, the District of Columbia, and the Winnebago Reservation in Nebraska. Together, Educare schools are proving what’s possible when families, educators, researchers, policymakers, and communities come together to help young children thrive.

🌱 The earliest years matter. And when we invest in children and families from the very beginning, we expand opportunities and shape lifetimes.

🌧️ Rain + Mud = Joy! 🤎
Mother Nature created the perfect learning environment, Tulsa Educare supplied the rain suits, and an extraordinary teacher seized the opportunity to turn a rainy day into an unforgettable experience. There’s something so special about using rain and mud as a provocation for exploration, creativity, sensory play, and pure happiness. From splashing and digging to laughing and discovering, the children were fully immersed in the magic of the moment — while staying completely dry in their rain suits! 💦

Sometimes the very best classroom is a puddle, a little mud, and the freedom to explore. 💛

Tulsa Educare will be closed Friday, May 22 for Professional Development.

For 61 remarkable years, Head Start has been opening doors, uplifting families, empowering educators, and helping children shine bright from the very start. What began as a summer program in 1965 has grown into a transformative national program that has positively impacted more than 40 million children and families across the United States.

At Tulsa Educare, we are proud to stand alongside the Head Start community in celebrating this legacy and continuing the work. Together with families, educators, and partners, we remain committed to ensuring every child has access to the strong, supportive start they deserve. 💛

Tulsa Educare proudly welcomed more than 300 early childhood professionals, partners, and funders in Tulsa for Educare Network’s Catalyst 26 Summit to experience our work up close.

Guests explored our fourth school, which opened in 2020, alongside our community outreach center through hands-on learning experiences highlighting classroom practice, family engagement, leadership, inquiry-based learning, and community partnerships.

This year marks 20 years since our first school opened here in Tulsa, so the event was both a reflection on how far we’ve come and an opportunity to share where we are now. We hope every visitor left with something that stays with them—a new idea, a meaningful conversation, or a deeper understanding of what’s possible for children and families. 🌟

Most importantly, we hope they experienced what makes Tulsa Educare so special—our incredible staff, our commitment to relationships, and our belief that children learn best through exploration, connection, and joy.
