Today is Psychotropic Informed Consent Awareness Day!

This day is a public health initiative that is meant to bring awareness to the lack of and the critical need for accurate informed consent for both prescribing and deprescribing.

Too many patients are being prescribed powerful psychotropic drugs without receiving all the information on the risks of taking the drug as well as what they may be facing when they decide they want to stop taking the drug.
