According to preliminary results, only about one in four registered Oklahoma voters cast a ballot yesterday.
When so many people sit out an election, it raises important questions: Why aren't more Oklahomans participating? Do people feel informed? Do they feel heard? Do they believe their vote can make a difference?
Tell us what you think. If you voted, what motivated you? If you didn't, what barriers got in the way?
We're interested in hearing your experiences and perspectives in the comments.

Tonight’s results on SQ 832 are tough for everyone who believes hard work should pay enough to get by. While the election may be over, the need for change hasn’t gone away.
Too many Oklahomans are working hard and following the rules, but still struggle to get by. A full-time minimum-wage worker in Oklahoma earns about $15,000 a year, just below the poverty line. And it’s far less than what’s needed to keep up with today’s costs.
The outcome of this election doesn’t change the reality facing working Oklahomans every day.
The truth is that Oklahoma can’t build a strong economy if thousands of working families are left in poverty. It’s time for lawmakers to step up with real solutions — to make families more secure and open up more opportunities across our state.
We can’t stop speaking up. We have to keep making sure lawmakers hear the voices of Oklahomans who are struggling to survive in this economy.
Progress doesn’t happen all at once; it happens because people keep showing up, organizing, and pushing for change. The campaign might be over, but the work of building an Oklahoma where hard work leads to opportunity continues.
