We finished last week off at TheZone by making personal maps of Oklahoma!

This month is all about community studies. This week we are studying about Oklahoma. Our students made an Oklahoma Timeline.

As we continue this month for building community, our older elementary worked together to build towers with solo cups!

This week at TheZone is understanding how practice empathy and understanding for others using the books Have You Filled a Bucket Today and Bucket Fillers and Dippers. We have various activities scheduled for this week that will teach this concept to our students! Today's activity had the students working on making buckets for the “bucket fillers” activities by coloring their buckets and listing bucket fillers, dippers, and lids around them

This week at TheZone was all about self-awareness, communication, identify and expressing feelings through our unit "New Grade, New Goals". A major goal for our program this year is to continue to help our students deal with how they feel and learn how to not let emotions rule over them.

Our students continued their back to school super hero unit. They discovered their super hero talents and thought about goals for this year. The summer now comes to a close but we are ready for the school year!

This is the last week of summer for TheZone! We are doing a unit on Super Hero Training to get our students mindsets ready to start school next week! These pics might just look like play but play is the best place to learn!

This week is Carnival STEM week! Students are creating carnival games to play with their families on Thursday night!
