“Immigrants are at the heart of this country, and I’m truly honored to be running the 2026 NYC Marathon with New Immigrants Community Empowerment (NICE), an organization committed to uplifting, empowering, and organizing immigrants in their lives and work.

This cause is deeply personal to me. Over 40 years ago, my dad and grandparents immigrated to the United States, leaving behind their hometown, their family, and everything familiar in pursuit of the American dream, the dream of opportunity, of possibility, of sueños. Their courage paved the way for my mom, my brother, and me to later join them, and ultimately made the life I have today possible.

Their resilience, hard work, and sacrifice continue to shape who I am. In honor of NICE’s 26 years of impact, I’ll be running 26 miles (42 kilometers) to help continue building spaces where immigrants feel empowered and supported.This run is for all of them, and for every family that dares to dream beyond borders.”
RULES:
