I walked into a room that was once my sanctuary however it felt very foreign to me today. If I am honest with myself I would say that it has been almost a year since I have spent any amount of time there. These last 11 plus months have been very trying on my soul....the desire to be creative just wasn't there no matter how much I tried. But today....something was different, today it was a place I wanted to be. My mind racing a million miles an hour with so many ideas....I was happy and at peace and I let the paint flow. I forced nothing, planned nothing, just did whatever and this is the result. I have 2 more on the table that are calling me back. Today was a good day.
 

Even though this year has been trying we have continued to press on with our list of home improvements. The hubby is so unbelievably handy which is a blessing. Before, during and after of our fireplace...what a drastic difference a mantle and new face cover can make.
