A Silverado with a no crank concern. This truck had no communication with the ECM or TCM. A quick circuit integrity check measured 120 ohms, indicating an open circuit. An intact circuit will read 60 ohms, due to it having two 120 ohm terminating resistors. I determined the wire break was behind the intake manifold, above the transmission. With a little manipulation, I was able to gain access to that section of harness with minimal disassembly. Broken wire repaired, and the truck is fixed.

I should have taken some before photos. This truck was crunched up all kinds of bad. Not pictured is the bent control arm that caused a wonky wheel alignment. Not bad for a mechanic. I wish we would have repaired the door, but the customer voted to leave it alone. I straightened the door well enough that it would function without fender interference.

Not going into too much detail, but had a stolen vehicle come in for service. Pictured here is a scrubbed VIN from the right front strut tower. I did my due diligence to verify it was an actively stolen vehicle, then got the Police involved. They verified my findings, and confiscated the vehicle.

All of this for a non working headlight. Fortunately fascia removal on this vehicle is quick work. Performed the necessary harness repair, installed a new bulb, and all is well.

GMC transmission removal. Replaced the torque converter and input shaft speed sensor.

Another Honda water pump/timing belt job this last week. This one was leaking coolant pretty heavily, and had been previously replaced, but not sure as to when.

Timing belt jobs. One Toyota, one Honda. Both with the original belt, and well over 200,000 miles. These folks need to buy a lottery ticket.

Fiat with a cracked oil pan. Lots of work. Engine/transmission assembly removed and separated, all to remove an adapter plate. Once the adapter is removed, pan replacement is a breeze.

The clutch disc looked worse than the pressure plate. The car was in for an engine swap due to a rod knock. Wonder why...

I can smell this photo. Burnt electrical is something you never forget. A faulty knockoff idle air control valve shut this car down. The graph is checking amp draw after the repair. I forget what fuse blew as a result, but it fed several components, not just the IAC.
