A major road project is coming to East 51st Street
Commissioner Stan Sallee and City of Broken Arrow Mayor Debra Wimpee recently met to discuss the upcoming widening of E. 51st St. from S. 177th E. Ave. to 193rd E. Ave., including a new roundabout at 51st & 193rd.

The burn ban issued for Tulsa County on September 3 has been extended through Monday, September 28, 2026, due to continued extreme fire danger.
The Board of County Commissioners approved the extension during this morning’s meeting after a majority of the county’s municipal and rural fire chiefs agreed that the burn ban should remain in place.
The burn ban does not apply to gas or electric grills used on non-flammable surfaces or to industrial welding on non-flammable surfaces.
Please avoid outdoor burning and take extra precautions to help prevent wildfires.

A major investment is coming to Tulsa County
Greenheck Group celebrated its plans for a new manufacturing facility in Owasso today, with Governor Kevin Stitt, Tulsa County Commissioner Stan Sallee, and Tulsa County Commissioner Lonnie Sims joining company leaders for the announcement.
Before the press conference, the group toured Greenheck’s current facility to see the company’s manufacturing operations and learn more about the work happening here today.
The approximately $300 million investment is expected to create more than 700 new jobs in Tulsa County and transform the former Macy’s facility into an expansion for Greenheck’s growing operations.
Tulsa County is proud to be part of the celebration and to welcome Greenheck’s continued investment in our county.
Growth is happening across South Tulsa County
In the latest edition of Commissioners Corner, Tulsa County Commissioner Kelly Dunkerley sits down with the mayors of City of Bixby - Municipality, City of Broken Arrow - Municipality and City of Glenpool, Oklahoma to talk about the growth happening across south Tulsa County.

What’s Happening Across Tulsa County
Our three Tulsa County Commissioners joined the Broken Arrow Chamber this morning for its State of the County Advocacy Breakfast.
It was a great opportunity to share what’s happening across Tulsa County, talk about projects and priorities in our three districts, and connect with local business and community leaders.
Thank you to the Broken Arrow Chamber for the invitation and for bringing leaders together for a great conversation about our county.

Monarchs on the Mountain is this Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chandler Park.
Join us for a family-friendly day celebrating pollinators and the people who help protect them. Meet more than 70 community partners, shop for native plants that are perfect for fall and support pollinators, and enjoy coffee or lunch from food trucks on-site.
There’s something for everyone, so bring the family and make a day of it!

Fresh starts for Tulsa 🌱
Women incarcerated at the Tulsa County Jail will soon have the opportunity to learn gardening skills on the grounds of the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center.
With support from the Tulsa County Commissioners, the District 2 maintenance crews, and Women for Tulsa, the garden is now in place and the first crops have been planted.
Participants will grow vegetables such as kale, radishes, cucumbers, squash and beans, along with wildflowers that attract pollinators. All produce grown in the garden will be used in the jail’s kitchen or donated to local food banks.
Bergin Enterprises has generously funded a regenerative community garden and will employ two part-time garden mentors to assist participants with cultivation.
Volunteers from Women for Tulsa will provide additional support with day-to-day operations.
Organizers hope the garden will benefit participants’ mental health while helping them develop valuable job skills they can use after incarceration.
