Let’s talk about something I wish more women understood BEFORE choosing their brow technique. 👀
Nano hairstrokes can look absolutely beautiful when they’re fresh. That’s part of why they’re so popular online. But fresh is not the same thing as healed.
I see a lot of women in my chair who tried hairstrokes first and eventually came to me because they wanted more density, definition and the look of a finished brow.
Here’s the simplest way I explain it:
Hair strokes add texture.
Ombré adds density.
Those are two very different things.
A lot of women hear the word “hair” and immediately think, “That’s what I want!” And I completely understand why. But the goal shouldn’t just be to recreate the appearance of individual hairs. It should be to create the overall healed brow you actually want to wake up with every day.
Ombré powder brows can look bold immediately after an appointment, but that is NOT the healed result. Once they heal and soften, you’re left with a more density without having to rely on individual hairstrokes to create the illusion of more hair. The Density the powder technique creates makes your hair look more impressive.
This is why I always encourage you to look at HEALED results, not just fresh photos, before choosing your technique.
Trends change. Your skin doesn’t. 💕

Imagine showing up for your appointment and I said, “Yeah, I’m actually not feeling it today. Can we just cancel?”
Obviously, I would never treat anyone that way. I hold myself to a high standard and go above and beyond to be present, prepared, and ready for you during the time you scheduled. I think that same consideration matters both ways. 🤍
For someone who works hourly or on salary, the financial impact of a last-minute cancellation can be easy to overlook. But when you’re self-employed and work strictly by appointment, that time is your income.
Imagine planning to be paid for an 8-hour workday, only to find out you’ll now be paid for 4–5 hours, while still having to be there all day, pay your overhead, and keep the business running.
One cancellation may not seem like much, but repeated last-minute cancellations can become incredibly defeating. It’s one of the things that contributes to burnout and can eventually cause talented, successful providers to throw in the towel.
And no, I’m NOT quitting. 😂 This is simply an educational reminder of what can be difficult to see from the other side of an appointment. It’s also why I have a strict 72-hour cancellation policy and require a booking fee.
I completely understand that life happens. Emergencies happen. I’m not asking for perfection. I’m simply asking that we remember there’s a real person and a real small business on the other side of your appointment.

HEALED OMBRÉ BROWS
2+ years later 💕
This gorgeous girl is a fellow cosmetic tattoo artist that I trained. With all the knowledge she has, she opted for a soft natural ombré powder brow. I understand the initial results of ombré can look bold at first… but look how soft and gorgeous her brows are years later! When we did them in 2024 her hair was a little lighter, you can see even with her darker hair her brows still look beautiful and very natural.
I see the hairstroke obsession happening on the internet… I understand the thought. I do find that most are underwhelmed by the healed/aged result of hairstroke brows. The expectation is different from the reality in most cases. 🤦🏼♀️As an industry why are we sleeping on properly done soft ombre brows? Is it because clients need less maintenance so they aren’t returning annually? 😏 I’ll be making more educational posts soon because I’m tried of all the misinformation out there about services and the unrealistic expectations.
💗I do also want to mention that with all techniques it’s important that the client does their part. 🏆She stays out of the sun, tints her brow hair, and does not apply acids near her brows.

As we age, our lips tend to lose the pigment we naturally have... which can lead to the annoying process of applying & re applying lipstick every 1-2 hours with the fear of going out in public looking & feeling lifeless.

The final result from your treatment cannot be judged until a minimum of 6 weeks post treatment. Even though most people appear to be healed topically by day 10, the pigment is covered by new skin and will not fully show up until the more opaque layer of new skin covering the pigment sheers back out. Your own macrophages are also working hard beneath the surface of the skin to engulf the pigment for up to 12 weeks after treatment. Once this process begins to subside, your color begins to push back through.
Do not panic, they are not gone it is just part of the normal healing process. 🫶 an initial session is like a first coat of paint on the wall, it is nice. It does something, but it is not finished until we get that second coat on there which is where the real magic happens (the 8-12 week perfecting session). 😉
All skin heals different and following proper aftercare is needed.💓
