In 1929, Calder stayed with his friend the book designer Robert Josephy in New York City. “Josephy was very enthusiastic over my circus,” Calder recalled. “This encouraged me and while at his house, I worked on it very hard. He helped me. We made the chariot race and the lion tamer, and it got to be quite a full blown circus, growing from two suitcases into five.” Cirque Calder is currently on view at the Whitney Museum of American Art in High Wire: Calder’s Circus at 100.

I would like to thank all my customers of Split Log Farms. I have made the decision to close. I will not be making anymore product at this time. I am sorry but I would like to enjoy more time with my wonderful grandchildren and spend time photographing them and concentrate on photography. You all have been loyal and wonderful. I plan to be at Okie Spice in Sand Springs today giving free samples of our products that are available there in the cooler. 107 North Main. I have the Original Smoked Cheddar with Pecans, Jalapeno Jack, Cranberry Jack and today I have some Maple Bacon Ranch Jack. Please come visit one of the most interesting stores in Oklahoma. Local and in Sand Springs.

We are at 181 Ranch today with lots of vendors. There is an entrance fee but well worth the visit.
