Anjelica Lindsey | Ambient Works: Sainte-Chapelle
_____________________________________________
Ambient Works: Sainte-Chapelle is a 16-minute site-specific composition titled SANCTUM created from a live field recording made by Mark Kuykendall and Anjelica Lindsey at Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, France, in October, 2023.
The recording took place within the upper chapel, constructed in the mid-13th century under King Louis IX to house precious Christian relics, including the Crown of Thorns. Renowned for its soaring Rayonnant Gothic architecture and expansive stained glass windows, the chapel created a unique recording environment shaped by vertical volume and reflecting upon over 1,000 luminous stained glass surfaces.
This work integrates the natural ambience of the space including movement, conversation, and the subtle sounds of world travelers passing through the chapel layered with an abstracted pipe organ study composed and performed by Anjelica Lindsey. The organ material is derived from early thematic sketches of REQUIEM, her large-scale work for orchestra and choir completed in 2024. Rather than presenting the themes in developed form, Lindsey reframes them as sonic gestures allowing them to interact fluidly with the architectural and social soundscape of the chapel.
The result is both a document of a specific acoustic moment and an early compositional inquiry into sacred resonance and public ritual.

Glass Hive - Glass Hive EP
___________________________________________________________
Brian Phillips aka Anatolya hailing from Florida returns to Unknown Tone with his Glass Hive EP side project previously self released. A slight departure from the brooding moods of the Anatolya moniker, GLASS HIVE was constructed to elicit feelings of calm, to unearth hazy memories of early innocence, and to lure the chaotic mind into the woods of sleep.

The New Honey Shade – Geosyncline
__________________________________
Subsurface listening. Sonic stratigraphy. A geology of tone.
On Geosyncline, Tulsa-based experimental ambient artist The New Honey Shade (aka Mark Kuykendall) delves deep into the earth both literally and sonically. Using a Geofon microphone by LOM, Kuykendall captured subsonic vibrations from bridges, overpasses, soil, water pipes, and electrical boxes. These ultra-sensitive contact mics—designed to detect seismic activity were paired with minimal processing and a restrained touch, allowing the natural textures of the captured environments to speak for themselves.
The result is a work grounded in field recording and sound design, rooted in deep bass and rich with tactile resonance. The only post-production flourish comes from the use of reverb, adding space without obscuring the raw, physical quality of the source recordings.
This album is not just an exploration of the planet’s hidden rhythms it is also a deeply personal excavation. As Kuykendall reflects:
“I grew up with frequent ear infections. Moments of pain and isolation where all I could hear were the deepest internal rumbles and distant, muffled echoes. Geosyncline is an homage to those formative sonic memories, recreated through vibration and tone rather than melody.”
With Geosyncline, The New Honey Shade invites the listener underground into a meditative, immersive space where hums, drones, and mechanical whispers create a geology of sound. It is ambient music for deep listening headphones on, volume up, feet on the ground.
For fans of geophonic sound design, lowercase music, and process-based audio art.

Anjelica Lindsey - Soliloquy for Solo Cello
__________________________________________________
Soliloquy for Solo Cello is the first single from Chamber in Red, a forthcoming album of chamber works by composer Anjelica Lindsey, written during the winter and spring of 2025. Performed by cellist Mitchell Lyon and recorded in New York City in April 2025, the piece is an introspective work for unaccompanied cello, exploring nuance, phrasing, and tone through a restrained, minimalist approach.
As an introduction to the Chamber in Red collection, Soliloquy highlights Lindsey’s focus on clarity, economy of gesture, and expressive depth within a small instrumental palette.

ANATOLYA - Yellow Galaxie
_____________________________________________
ANATOLYA returns to Unknown Tone Records with Yellow Galaxie — a brooding, three-track EP that follows his 2018 full-length Mirror Message. Layered with warbled pads, detuned synths, and lo-fi VHS textures, this release drifts through a darker, more fortuitous terrain—where analog grit and fractured signals converge in slow motion.
The solo project of Florida-born artist Brian Phillips, ANATOLYA blends ambient decay with experimental electronics. Known also for side projects OOTHECA, GLASS HIVE, and REDGLAIVE, Phillips explores the blurred edges of sound and memory, always just beyond the signal’s clarity.

The New Honey Shade - Untitled (For Caleb)
Dedicated to the memory of Caleb John Reed [6/14/1982 - 5/6/2025]
________________________________________________
REMEMBERING ARCHITECT CALEB JOHN REED (1982-2025)
Wild Mountain Studios would not exist without Caleb and so we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of architect Caleb John Reed (1982–2025), a visionary architect whose contributions enriched Tulsa’s architectural landscape and beyond. Caleb, whose distinguished career included tenures at Arkitektfirma Helen & Hard in Norway, Marmol-Radziner in Los Angeles, and Marlon Blackwell in Fayetteville before his return to Tulsa with his independent architecture practice, FIELDSPACE, and roles with Freese Architecture. He passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 42.
Caleb’s work was characterized by a profound commitment to vernacular architecture and a deep love for the Oklahoma landscape, ecology, and history. For the past eight years, he channeled his creativity into designing and building innovative, place-based homes and a Studio on Wild Mountain in Osage County for himself and longtime friends, Mark Kuykendall and Anjelica Lindsey. His projects not only transformed physical spaces but also served as a meaningful bridge connecting personal vision with Tulsa’s cultural heritage.
Caleb was a valued member of the community. His extraordinary talent and passion for architecture leave a legacy that will be felt for generations to come.
Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him. We remain committed to celebrating his visionary contributions to Wild Mountain Studios and will continue to honor his memory in our work.
