Sister Christine volunteered this afternoon at Tulsa's Route 66 Capital Cruise. https://www.visittulsa.com/parade/ She assisted with registration of the over 5,000 cars entered in the event.

Sister Christine's dad was a classic car collector and enthusiast. "It's in my genes," she said of her love for classic autos.

The parade begins tomorrow at 8:00 am and will travel down historic Route 66 through Tulsa.

There's Sister Marie Therese Long and Fr Bradley, one of our chaplains! This is a lovely rendition of "From a Distance." Enjoy and reflect.

The Benedictine Sisters of Saint Joseph Monastery have entered into an agreement to sell our 14.67-acre property in Tulsa to Monte Cassino Catholic School. This decision follows our recent announcement to transition governance of the school to its Board of Directors and reflects what we believe is the next faithful step in supporting both the school’s future and our monastic community.

The sale includes approximately 40,000 square feet of monastery space, original school buildings, and the corner of 21st Street and Lewis Avenue.

The final approval for the sale is expected in the coming weeks from the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (the Vatican office that oversees religious communities). The anticipated closing date is spring 2028. The sisters will remain in the current monastery until their move to our new home in Skiatook, also expected around spring 2028.

This transition is so exciting to us as we prepare for a new chapter in the life of our community!
