Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth and teachings of Jesus Christ. My latest book, :Jesus Said" offers the formula that Jesus gave for dealing with quarrels or differences. His audience rebelled because they preferred punishment and hurting the offender. Do you enjoy seeing others in pain, whether physical or emotional? Let us follow Jesus formula using words and rational discussion.

Chapter Five part 1 REALITY CHAPTER FIVE
TREATISE ON LOVE

The seed of our potential is stimulated by the enjoyment of affinity, or love.

Do you wonder why I did not name love as one of the Ideals? To love is to value and appreciate. All of the Ideals are about placing value on or loving the potential for fulfillment of that concept. Love can be expressed in countless ways and no conscious Light Being is exempt from sensing it. Love as a principle and love as an experience, a concept, an expression or action are different things. Let me explain.
Love is an inner sensation of affinity related to something internal or external to the one who experiences it. When we sense it, we feel pleasure and when we are not sensing it we feel empty and seek experiences of it.
Love is also the sensation of affinity that results from the vibrations of the Holy Spirit that connects us to the Source. That is to say, when we feel love we say that we love the object or subject of our interest, but we are really sensing the amplification of vibrations of the Holy Spirit in ourselves when we think of or involve our minds with that object or subject. As we evolve in consciousness of the Divine Essence, our purpose and what we love or how we express our sense of affinity will change. As we evolve we are always seeking fulfillment of the Divine Ideals of which we are aware. In allowing ourselves to change, we might sense a weaker affinity with something or someone we formerly had greatly loved, while feeling more affinity with something or someone else. To love God is to feel affinity with one’s perception of or experience of God. The ultimate sensation of fulfillment of the hunger for love occurs when we reach Nirvana and sense the highest vibration of total affinity. It is affinity with the Creator and the revelation of Reality that comes during that experience.
The Holy Spirit is not love. Love, or the desire for and experience of affinity, is the sensation that a conscious Light Being experiences simply because of its connection to the Source through the Holy Spirit. That connection cannot be broken, thus the underlying realization of greater love as a potential is always present in a living creature. How we respond to the sensation of affinity with something or an idea or another person is directly related to our interpretation of the Ideals that we experience, the purpose that we have chosen and the individual character that we have developed. An individual’s interpretation of love is related to something that he or she appreciates or something that is desired.
The Divine Ideals, carried through the Holy Spirit into our nervous system, prompt our development of wisdom and our search for fulfillment of the Ideals that we sense. The harmonic sensation of love or affinity identifies for us something that seems to be a temporary or permanent fulfillment of that search. When something seems to represent the fulfillment or the potential for that fulfillment in a small or large way, we sense the vibration of affinity within ourselves and acknowledge that we “love” it. That is why we can even say that we “love” ice cream. Consuming it provides temporary pleasure or fulfillment of a physical desire. The idea of it stimulates both the memory and the potential for it even when we do not see the object or have a desire for it in the moment; yet because of memory we “know” that we value it.
The feeling of love is not a primary quality of Divine Intelligence, but a responsive vibration produced within the individual soul. It is analogous to the harmonious vibration of a tuning fork responding to a sound vibration. Your entire mind, or soul, is the tuning fork. The object or subject considered is the initiating vibration. You, the individual Light Being sense the responding vibration of your “tuning fork” and like it or dislike it.
Because every conscious creature is eternally connected to God through the vibrations of the Holy Spirit, every species of living creature experiences and practices desire and fulfillment to some degree. Have you ever studied a colony of ants? In insects and lower consciousness animals we see love as the incentive to feed their desires for pleasurable experiences. In most species, an attitude of simple cooperation for the survival and pro-creation of their species is present. In the more intelligent animals we see the same thing, but we also witness displays of sympathy and compassion as a desire to maintain and protect what they love after producing it.
All created living creatures have consciousness of the some of the vibrations of Divine Intelligence. Most living creatures practice sympathy due to sensing vibrations of distress from other conscious beings. They enjoy companionship, grieve the loss of other living creatures that are valued by them and share constructive activities with those of their own species for common survival and protection of their species. Love, a feeling of affinity with that which is of value to self, is an incentive to the search for ongoing fulfillment. It is a part of the Plan.
Animals of a higher vibration of Consciousness have the power to govern their will in the practice of self-discipline, to reason to a limited degree, and to serve, nurture, protect, and communicate with one another. They can use the power of choice to determine the best option for their fulfillment among numerous perceived potentials.
Although they, too, are eternal Light Beings, they are not capable of sensing the highest vibrations of Spiritual Ideals that inspire one to seek knowledge of the meaning and purpose of life itself.
Domestic animals such as dogs sense an affinity with the lower five vibrations of the Divine Ideals. These are the desire for freedom, companionship, security, intimacy, and communication. Their potential for learning is limited to the practical and physical in relation to their emotions. Empowered to seek fulfillment of those five Ideals they seek also to be free from the opposites. In an effort to fulfill the sense of affinity with their surroundings, they are inclined to attempt elimination of anything that would interfere with their possession of that which they desire to draw to themselves and keep or use. They are influenced almost completely by feelings because of the limitation of their power to develop comprehension and complex reasoning.
Without self-consciousness, they are not aware that they are Light Beings or living souls inside a physical form. Their entire thinking process is governed by their emotional desires. Some animals are capable of observing the movement of higher vibrations in the aura or the voice of a human being and fascinated by that phenomenon. Individual animals are either drawn magnetically to the vibrations of a human being or repelled by them because of how their own vibrations relate to the vibrations that they sense coming from that person.
Initially, evolving self-conscious living souls in human form are greatly influenced by their outer environment. They practice only the reasoning of immediate cause and effect and perceive “love,” as desire or wanting, just as the animals do. Following a pleasurable experience, the sense of affinity for an experience expands to a memory of the experience and the object or being that produced pleasure. Constant focus on the body and the outer environment and pursuit of pleasurable experiences increases the hunger for affinity stimulates the desire for permanence. At that point, the evolving Light-Being consciously appreciates and assigns value to that which produced the pleasure. In order to assure their right to reclaim the experience, they try to own the subject of that feeling by protecting it as their possession. That is their new sense of how to perpetuate the sense of affinity or love. Jealousy, possessiveness and efforts to control others result from this kind of love and it is typical of animal behavior. Animals “love” or want to possess what they value because it is a symbol of pleasure and relieves them of a mental, emotional and physical hunger for the temporary sensation of fulfillment.

REALITY Chapter Four CHAPTER FOUR
DIVINE IDEALS INSPIRE THE SEARCH FOR FULFILLMENT

Our presence in the physical world is not an error that we are trying to correct.

We are not here to try to go back to the cocoon in which we started but to unfold according to the seed of our soul’s potential. Our journey through time in this universe is a major part of the Divine Plan. It is taking us to a place in consciousness and wisdom that we have never been before.
While the development of our creative powers and qualities of Divine Intelligence is occurring gradually based on our choices, actions, and reactions to life, the belief system by which we make those choices is developing. It is developing in the subconscious of each of us as the unique, individual identity that each of us was created to become through our choices, experiences and responses to life. For guidance through our creative part in that work, we are being inspired by an ongoing subliminal awareness of Divine Ideals.
An Ideal is a concept of perfect experience. The Divine Ideals that inspire us toward development are: sustained freedom, companionship, security, intimacy, communication, knowledge, harmony, creative spiritual purpose, direct awareness and complete understanding of God.
Divine Ideals, along with Divine Intelligence and the eternal life force, are potentialities that are being transmitted as vibrations into the consciousness of every living soul through the channel of the Holy Spirit. Some of the lower vibrations are also sensed as universal Ideals by animals and evolving souls.
The Holy Spirit is not a conscious “other”. It is the Light in the same tunnel of Light described by those of us who have had Near Death Experiences. It is an energy link that carries vibrations and communication between the center of Divine Mind and Its created conscious living souls. Divine Ideals are messages or Divine Ideas transmitted from God into each soul. They are sensed within us as an abstract thought of perfection and a desire to seek and find that perfection.
At the center of each individual Light Being is the power of consciousness. To be conscious is to be aware or to sense. Individual consciousness is the sensor of all vibrations that impact the mind and the body of that individual being. Consciousness does not provide understanding of what is sensed; it only produces harmony or disharmony with its sensory perceptions. The interpreter or processor of that which is sensed is in the substance of Divine Intelligence that surrounds the consciousness. The Light Being is largely influenced by recorded memories of experience unless other powers of the Divine Intelligence are developed through practice. The powers of Divine Intelligence such as imagination, complex reasoning, will, and choice are weak until exercised in the process of responding to life and perceived potential.
We can sense vibrations of the Holy Spirit within ourselves, knowing these vibrations are in ourselves yet not ourselves, and we interpret them in relation to our individual sense of reality and perceived potential.
Once a conscious Light-Being of any species incarnates in a physical form within a physical environment, it senses only the Divine Ideals that are relative to the design of its species and its functioning system. For example, Light Beings that are created without the full power of Divine Intelligence have no potential to develop into self-consciousness or beyond that to spiritual consciousness. They are not objectively aware of their being so that they might study it and alter it as they evolve, but their consciousness is aware of the sensations that are impacting their being.
When incarnating in a physical form, non-self-conscious beings sense not only the body they inhabit with its physical hungers for survival; they also perceive the outer environment as the provider of their fulfillment. Their primary thought is to gain fulfillment of their desires in whatever way their limited intelligence can conceive. Most are designed with the intelligence level necessary for retaining memory of their personal experiences, and this is the limit of their ability to learn—by experience only. Their memory serves as a way of self-guidance for conscious choices. Even an insect or a fish has the power of memory as a reminder to avoid mishaps that they have previously experienced. Through trial and error and the power of memory, they discover that their limited desires can be satisfied temporarily by the outer environment or by other living creatures in the outer environment. They seek to repeat the interaction that was pleasurable or fulfilling, and they have no conscious goal or curiosity beyond that. The designs of different species and the variety of instincts practiced by each, generation after generation, is interesting to observe. They have no curiosity or idea of potential beyond the Ideals that they experience.
The Ideals that are sensed automatically stimulate ideas in the entire consciousness of the receiver. Those ideas are interpreted by the individual and experienced as both thought and desire for action or expression. Many insects and animals, for example, can detect only the first three Divine Ideals. Their ideas and feelings prompt them to seek pleasurable activity, companionship through shared activity with others of their species, and security through self-preservation and safety. They have no other purpose in life and can conceive of none.
An individual soul, when out of body, is always a conscious Light-being; therefore a conscious Light-Being is an eternal soul. If it is disincarnate but “visiting” the earth, due to its attachment to the world or to something or someone in the world, it can be seen, by some people who are psychically aware, as a lighted orb or circle of light.
The powers of intelligence such as consciousness or cognition, reasoning power, choice, imagination, memory, and will power can function within a soul whether it is in or out of a physical form, for they are components of the Divine Intelligence that is in that soul. But they function only to the degree that they have been exercised and developed. Within each soul, every thought form along with its subsequent feeling has its own vibration.
Because of the differences in our collected memories, our priorities, our paradigms of reality, and our stage of spiritual evolution, no two individual self-conscious Light-Beings have the same vibration once they have begun active living. Our Creator knows us by our vibrations, not by the many names that we have had through a number of incarnations.
We, the self-conscious Light Beings, are the only species who sense the higher vibrations of Reality. Our instinct is to seek spiritual understanding, spiritual experiences and direct knowledge of our Creator as well as to make a conscious choice to be creative in altering our belief system due to each change of perception.
A self-conscious Light Being enters into a physical form through the tunnel of Light above the crown of the head when the body is born. The vibrations of a Light Being can be detected scientifically as brain activity and seen by some as an aura of light and color. Through our ongoing connection to God, which is the Holy Spirit, every created individual being is composed of Intelligence, eternal life, and Divine Ideals. The brain is the part of the form that houses the Light Being. When the Light Being enters the form its vibrations extend throughout the body via the nervous system. At the same time, the nervous system and the sensors of the physical body act as a magnet to absorb the vibrations of the body’s energy field and transmit those vibrations to the consciousness. This union makes the soul aware of the body and the outer environment while still perceiving itself and its Divine Ideals.
With our first incarnation, we begin the search for something that our experiences of the world and its people cannot possibly fulfill. Our curiosity extends into the quest for a way of life that will result in holistic and permanent fulfillment, or fulfillment and knowledge.
Evolution in consciousness is not something we do, nor is it something for which we wait. It is a result of something that we do in our quest for knowledge of God.
Each of us is in our own stage of development on the journey through time. Each is progressing toward the highest potential as individual spiritual beings. We would not say that a high school graduate is superior to a kindergartener or a toddler. But we would be foolish not to recognize that some have currently developed their potential to a greater degree than others. Therefore, conscious knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge is greater in the high school graduate than in the toddler. And, again, is a fruit tree greater than a seedling? Both are valuable, but it is obvious that one has reached its potential while the other is in the process of developing that potential.
And so it is with development of spiritual consciousness, spiritual understanding, spiritual character, and spiritual expression. Spiritual development is not a race or a competition. Complete spiritual enlightenment is not an assurance. It is merely a potential for every individual. The power of choice enables us to set our own course.
Sincere spiritual students might immediately balk at the concept of ascending stages of consciousness and prefer the comforting idea that we simply shift from a human perception to a spiritual perception of life. Their argument is that the idea of numerous development stages suggests that they and other, more enlightened individuals are “better” or “superior” to others in some way. When God’s Plan and its ultimate fulfillment are actually perceived, then a natural sense of humility and awe is experienced—not in deference to other human beings but in deference to the Divine Plan and its Creator.
Those who wish to grow spiritually through the efforts of others will love the mistaken concept that we are all evolving at the same pace as one mass of consciousness. The truth is that once we began our active journey through time for the evolution process, we did not all make the same choices or respond to the same environmental experiences and situations along the way. Another truth is that we do not become conscious co-creators regarding our own development process until we make the choice to do so, and follow through with it. There is no wrong stage of spiritual consciousness in which to be, simply former stages or future stages. When we can make peace with that idea, we are ready to consciously move forward in our own spiritual development and to celebrate the freedom of letting others do the same. Having this piece of the puzzle of life increases rather than decreases our respect for others and for ourselves.
Some have directed their passions to the spiritual quest lifetime after lifetime, while others have just enjoyed the environment or struggled against the human condition. Free will is a gift from God that our Creator honors as we progress. Free will is a right that we must learn to honor in ourselves and in others as we evolve along the path that we have chosen.
We engage in the creative work of our own spiritual evolution by claiming our right to choose the path of development that seems most reasonable to us. If we are wise, we will choose a path that gives evidence of our inner growth and empowers us to demonstrate that new sense of reality in our thoughts, feelings, speech, choices, and behavior. All paths are a part of the journey toward total Spiritual Enlightenment. If your spiritual path is not producing joy and adventure while it excites new realizations in you, it might well be time to find a new path to follow. Daring to develop and implement self-respect is a way of honoring everyone’s right to choose, including your own.
It was the ancient Yoga tradition of Hinduism that first used the term “chakra” to identify sensors that detect universal vibrations and spiritual vibrations. These “chakras” are actually energy receivers that are related to the glands and nervous system of physical creatures.
Every physical form is designed to automatically use the universal energy for development and ongoing support of the body itself, much like a light bulb will be energized by electricity. Each “chakra” attracts the vibrating rays of a different Divine Ideal and automatically transmits them through the nervous system of the body to the consciousness or awareness within that body. The Ideals are perceived by the mind within as “instincts” or natural mental and emotional desires for active living in the universe and interpreted by the individual according to its stage of consciousness.
The outer environment that we inhabit for the gradual enlightenment of our consciousness is also inhabited by millions of other species of living souls. Just as we do, those souls inhabit a body or physical form that is unique to their species. They are insects, birds, fish, and animals. We are all eternally connected to the Source by the same Holy Spirit. Because of the limited vibrations of their consciousness, the non-human animals are not self-conscious; their power to sense Divine Ideals is confined to one or more of the five lower vibrating Ideals.
The first six Ideals are freedom, companionship, security, intimacy, communication and knowledge or enlightenment. These influences are carried through the universal life force. The vibrations of the higher Ideals are carried only through the Holy Spirit and detectable only by a self-conscious Light Being who has evolved into the Mystic state of consciousness. Non-human beings relate the Ideals to the environment, survival of the body, perpetuation of their species and experiences of physical or emotional pleasure. By observing those creatures we can learn to accept the idea that fulfillment of one’s purpose for life comes as a result of following the instincts of its species.
The instinct of the human species is influenced by the Divine Life Force within the individual; the “Holy Spirit”. That instinct is to seek spiritual enlightenment or knowledge and to use that knowledge for self-development and self-expression. Self-Consciousness is the power of objectivity in relation to self, that is the power to witness self, and it serves as an influence to discover all there is to know about ourselves apart from the environment. It inspires us to seek fulfillment of our desire to know the answers to our questions about life.
The major difference between an untrained wild animal and a human being of simple consciousness is the number of Divine Ideals that the species is capable of perceiving. The Divine Ideals that are sensed become their instincts. Their changing interpretation of the instincts becomes their motivation. Every living creature responds to instincts according to the limited knowledge and understanding that it has developed.
Because of the variety of Ideals that we sense, the instinct of human beings is to seek knowledge and understanding about whatever is of interest to us and to practice various ways of using that knowledge. That is the sixth Divine Ideal. We are curious about our environment. We want to know what everything is and why it is as it is. We want to know where we came from, and what we are, and what the purpose for life could be if we are only to “die” in the end. We do not see animals, birds, insects, or fish considering such questions. The Ideal that influences us to seek knowledge for the purpose of knowing, and to use the knowledge in relation to our creative interests, is beyond their capacity to detect.
Human beings sense all of the Divine Ideals as vibrations or ideas that impact the mind and nervous system but, as we evolve, certain Ideals are sensed more strongly than others. That is, once we learn all that our way of life can reveal to us about one Ideal, we sense yet another Ideal more strongly, begin to define its meaning and claim it as a purpose or goal in our life.
The Divine Ideals teach us nothing. They are like the proverbial carrot held before the donkey’s nose to take his steps in the right direction, or the rabbit that keeps a racing Greyhound on the course. The Divine Ideals are God calling, not so that God might know us—for God has known us from the beginning of our existence—but so that we might know God by pursuing one Ideal after another until we reach the highest potential for fulfillment, which is the ultimate spiritual fulfillment.

CHAPTER THREE
IN THE BEGINNING

In the beginning of reality, there was God and only God. God is the Source of all that is, and the substance of God is Divine Intelligence.
The three primary components of Divine Intelligence are Consciousness-the directing or focusing power, Divine Law-the formative power, and the Divine Life Force-the activating power. The Trinity of Divine Mind is Consciousness, Life, and the Law.
Intelligence contains multiple creative powers within itself such as the power of observation, concentration, awareness, choice and will power. These powers synchronized in balance produce Divine Qualities such as harmony, and peace.
The Law contains every potential (idea) for results of action; but potentialities without action to stimulate them are merely ideas. The power of imagination gives perception of potentialities.
The Law is in the Life Force, therefore the formative Law and the Life Force are inseparable. As the Life Force moves through an energy field the Law absorbs all vibrations in its path, blends to feed an idea (or potential) and produces results in that energy field. Wherever there is action, the Life Force and the formative Law are operating.
Results produced by the Law are a combination of all active vibrations in an energy field through which the Life Force is cycling. Recordings of those results—known as holograms —are carried in the Life Force as it makes its perpetual cycles through the energy fields that it activates.
In the beginning, the only energy field was the wholeness of God. The constantly swirling action of the Divine Life Force stimulated the Law, producing a centrifugal force that formed a vortex at its center. That Law within the vortex served as a magnet to eventually absorb all of the Divine Intelligence including the powers and qualities of Divine Consciousness into a central pool. We will refer to that central pool of Divine Substance as Divine Mind. At that point, the central pool was surrounded by empty space commonly referred to as the “void”. The void would serve as the “canvas” upon which Divine Mind would produce Its creative work of art, but not before preparing a Plan.
Consciousness is the awareness of existence or “I Am” of Divine Mind with its cognitive and creative powers. The Divine Masculine power in Divine Mind is the Life Force, the projecting ability. The Divine Feminine power in Divine Mind is the absorbent, formative, and responsive power; the Law. The Law is magnetic in nature. It holds all potential and produces the result of all action. But only Consciousness holds the power to perceive being and to be aware of the Life Force, the Law, and the creative powers and potentialities within itself, thus, to deliberately create. Only Consciousness holds the power to compare potentials, to choose, and to will or direct the Life Force for deliberate creation of a selected potential. Without consciousness everything would be merely meaningless action and result without purpose. Without consciousness there could be no awareness of being or of anything at all, thus, no choice or pre-supposed outcome for anything at all. Without Consciousness there could be no Divine Plan; therefore, if there is a Divine Plan, the Creator is conscious.
The Consciousness in Divine Mind had ability to observe Its own existence, Its own qualities and Its many productive powers. Divine Mind was the initial creative field with potential to produce thought forms and hold them in Itself.
Within the Vortex of Divine Mind, the cycles of the Life Force became more rapid, and the unconscious Law in the ever-cycling Life Force absorbed the intensity of movement to result in waves of rising and falling vibrations. The Consciousness of God sensed the Harmony of those blended vibrations in the entire field of Divine Intelligence and witnessed their beauty as well. The result of that action was the Creator’s Desire to use the creative powers of Intelligence and known potential for deliberate creation.
The first creations of Divine Mind were thought forms or ideas. They were miniature Light Beings immersed in the pure substance of Divine Mind. The Light Beings were inactive, and conscious only of the harmonious wavelike activity of vibrations in Divine Mind.
As the Plan progressed, designs for operating systems within the consciousness of the Light Beings were created and implanted within them to establish a variety of species. The system or design within the intelligence of each species of conscious Light-Being would serve as a blueprint to determine its potential to develop consciousness of Reality.
We, the created Light Beings with the most complex system implanted in our intelligence, would be the masterpiece of God’s creation. We were created with self-consciousness—that is, objective awareness of our individual existence—and with the power to develop full consciousness of Reality and conscious creative expression.
In this way, all conscious living Light-Beings were created in Divine Mind by Divine Mind and held there in a “cocoon-like” state of blissful conscious awareness.
While we waited to begin the expansion and expression of our intelligence, Divine Mind projected a stream of the Vital Life Force and the Law into the outer field—the Void—to begin perpetual action within it. That formed a massive magnetic vortex or pool of energy in the center of the Void. The seed idea for our current universe was projected from Divine Mind into that pool of energy to absorb the Life Force within it. After a time of ingesting the Life Force, that “seed” burst forth to begin its own expansion according to the design implanted in its seed. We refer to that moment in time as “the Big Bang”. In time, that developing universe would eventually serve as an environment for the activation and expression of all conscious Light Beings.
In the beginning of its expansion and development, the universe was uninhabited. The universe itself is not conscious; the component of Consciousness was retained only in Divine Mind and in the created Light Beings. The universe is the environment created to serve as an environment for the development of conscious Light Beings.
According to the blueprint of its design, the first products of universal action in the expanding universe were invisible elements and eventually plants of every kind. Those were formed by the magnetism of the Law as it drew vibrations together in various energy fields of the expanding universe.
The unconscious universal law acted as attraction and repulsion in each plant while it fed on the Life Force that passed through it until it reached its peak of development. As a plant peaks at the end of its development cycle, it can no longer absorb enough of the universal life force to continue reproduction of components in its form, and it begins to diminish. Such is the way of all physical forms in the universe and in this world. When that diminishing plant comes to the end of its ability to intake the life force it perishes, however its seed is still a part of the physical environment, and a new plant grows from the seed.
Living forms with no brain capacity to house the power of consciousness for processing of experience—plants and minerals, for example—have no potential to be conscious of anything. They were designed to establish a balance of energies in the form environments and to contribute to the sustenance and development of more complex physical forms that would develop in time.
While this miracle was taking place, the unconscious universe, expanding from its own seed, had not yet produced energy fields or environments that were suitable for the development of the Light Beings. As a part of the Plan, radiant rays of six Divine Ideas for expression were projected as vibrating waves of Light into the universal Life Force to serve as guides for the continued development of the universe. They were carried in the stream of the cyclic universal life force and would eventually be sensed as influences to action for conscious Light Beings who would eventually appear. With the power of consciousness, those Light Beings could detect the vibrating rays of the Divine Ideals as desires, ideas, and perceive them as influences toward expression and experience.
Following countless cycles of development according to its seed or “DNA”, the universe eventually expanded and produced more complex physical forms that could serve as vehicles for the expression of various species of conscious Light-Beings with potential for detecting only the lowest vibrations of the Divine Ideals. The Light Beings designed to inhabit those early forms were not self-conscious. They were projected out of the center of Divine Mind into physical forms that had developed from the seeds of previous forms through cycles of time.
The Law within the Life Force of each Light Being was attracted by the magnetism in the universal life force as it flowed through the Light Being’s selected form. That moment of fusion between the Life Force in the conscious Light Being and the universal life force produced the first breath of the form.
The Light Beings found themselves inside a physical form with awareness of their immediate environment. That immediate environment was the cumbersome physical forms that they inhabited. The universal life force flowing through the forms stimulated the physical system of the brain and nervous system and the Light Being became aware of the natural survival needs of the form. Their secondary awareness was of the environment that their forms occupied. Unlike plants, the animal forms did not receive their nutrition automatically from the ground and atmosphere, action was required for survival.
Once a Light Being is activated, it begins to develop its powers of simple reasoning through use of the intelligence within, within the limitation of its species. Light Beings that inhabit the forms of insect or animal were not designed with the potential for self-consciousness and are not aware that they have creative powers within their intelligence. They are not conscious of the powers of their intelligence or of mind itself. Any creativity that they seem to express is merely a pattern within their seed.
With only objective perception in relation to their desires and emotions, the first conclusion of the Light Beings was that everything in the environment was there to satisfy the desires of their bodies. Those first active inhabitants of the universe responded to the bodies that encased them as if the bodies were commanders telling them to eat, drink, sleep, play, procreate, and move about and made themselves servants to the form. We would know those Light-Beings as the original insects, reptiles, birds, or animals of our planet.
Copulation led to families or herds, packs, and other such groupings for pro-creation, sleeping, hunting, playing together and survival of their young. Without self-awareness a Light-Being is initially objective, but the first thoughts stimulate the nervous system to produce feelings. The products of their active intelligence—such as memory and simple reasoning—are perceived as “voices” demanding service to the instincts of their physical form and their social ideals.
With the power of their intelligence limited to perception of that which was immediately evident, there was no awareness of the vast amount of food and options available. They began to compete for food, territory, and satiation of their physical hungers. Their powers of reasoning (comparing one idea to another) and of imagination (perception of potential) held very limited potential for learning and holding knowledge as memory.
According to the Plan held in Divine Mind, the universe continued to expand according to the seed for its development. Atmospheric conditions changed. The original inhabitants could no longer find what was required for their sustenance.
Through continued cycles of time, physical forms with more complex brain and nervous systems developed on earth and in various galaxies of the universe. These were suitable for the use of Light Beings with capacity for detecting the full range of the first five Divine Ideals, which are related to socialization and physical survival.
They were still not suitable for the self-conscious—thus self-directed—Light Beings to inhabit.
As the seed idea of this universe continued to develop according to its design and purpose, we, the self-conscious Light Beings, waited for our birth into action. We were conscious only of existing in an environment of harmonious vibrations that flowed perpetually through our consciousness. Eventually a suitable form developed in the universe. It would serve as a vehicle through which self-conscious Light Beings could pursue all of the Divine Ideals and evolve in consciousness as a result of that pursuit.
The self-conscious Light Beings who chose to leave that cocoon to enter into the outer field for development of wisdom were empowered to project themselves into the first human forms.
With the activity of pro-creation, each generation of self-conscious Light Beings produced more of the human forms with complex brains and nervous systems capable of detecting the full range of the six primary Divine Ideals. They also served as vehicles for reincarnation of self-conscious Light Beings that had previously occupied physical form.
We, the self-conscious Light Beings, were created with the potential to become conscious of the creative forces within ourselves. We held the potential to become conscious that our thoughts and feelings are generated inside our own consciousness as a result of our mind action.
The substance of our individual being is Divine Intelligence. By sensing and pursuing the sixth Divine Ideal, which is to exercise the powers of our intelligence, we become more aware of that substance and our own reasoning processes. As we exercise the powers of observation, choice, memory and comparative thinking we can increase those powers and the reasoning capacity of our intelligence to advanced learning.
This is a stage that each self-conscious Light Being must pass through in order for the Intelligence to reach its first peak of development in the capacity for spiritual realization. The acceptance that we can deliberately increase our individual understanding of Reality beyond the visible environments and the sensation of our feelings and desires sets us apart from other animals and stimulates the passion for pursuing our quest for greater enlightenment.
The two major destinations that one might pursue at the beginning of this point of development in consciousness makes all the difference in whether or not he or she continues to develop consciousness of Spiritual Reality. That limitation is not a punishment or reward; it is inherent in our design and merely a result of our choice.
Once we have developed through the sixth Ideal, if we choose to continue applying all of our intelligence to the fulfillment of only social and physical or intellectual fulfillment —whether it be just for self or for self or for altruistic service to others—we have chosen those first six Ideals as our perception of the purpose for life. No higher purpose will be sensed.
But if we have chosen the spiritual destination—which is to continue our search for direct realization of spiritual Reality, a quantum leap occurs in our consciousness to reveal the first of three even higher Ideals. The next chapter explains the Divine Ideals in full.
With the advent of that first spiritual initiation, the individual Light Being, having experienced numerous incarnations, is as if “born again” into perception of self as a spiritual being or individual soul, occupying a physical form in a physical environment and releases the old perception of self as a physical being with a soul.
The life force that sustains the universe and the physical forms within the universe gives life only to form. It cannot sustain consciousness of the soul. We and all conscious living beings go in and out of form and are kept alive and conscious eternally through a tunnel of radiating Divine Light that is our connection to the Source. The individual consciousness in a Light Being can never die. Our species alone is designed with the potential to be conscious of that truth. Only we have the potential to become aware of the Source of our being, of eternal life, and of our spiritual identity. The awareness that we are conscious and that we have the powers of intelligence within us inspires us to follow the clues, search for the Source of our consciousness, and find the fulfillment of our spiritual questions of who am I, why am I here, where did I come from and where will I be when my body is no more.
The choices that self-conscious Light Beings can make and the paths that we can take in search of fulfillment and enlightenment are many. But the potential for individual evolution in consciousness and the process through which it can be done is the same for all. It is the Divine Plan.
