To understand what to expect, I believe to be the most important thing anyone should do whether they are purchasing / adopting a purebred dog or a mix breed dog. DO YOUR  DUE DILIGENCE. read about each breed that makes up that dog and you’ll get a better understanding of what to expect. I want to say most dogs that get adopted will end up right back in dog pound 🙄 which could have been avoided if you would do your research and better prepare yourself and truly give the dog a chance. Heck it takes about 2-3 years before a dog matures. So be prepared to put in the work those early years are very important to

Sept. 2, 1972. A track camera in Sainte Livrade, near Bordeaux, France, captured the finish of a trotter race revealing an enthusiastic fox terrier, which had jumped the rail to join in on the racing. The horse, named Doudrac, won the race by a nose, and the terrier named Milou, came in second.

DOG TRAINING IS ANCIENT
The painting is “The Dog Trainer” by F. Sigmund Lachenwitz, 1820-1868.
Dog trainers have been using rewards, cues, mild punishments and corrections, and successive trick builds for several thousand years.
The “discovery” of these techniques by lab-based psychologists is right up there with Newton “discovering” gravity and Columbus “discovering” America.
If someone tells you different, RUN, don’t walk, in the opposite direction. Nothing good starts with a lie.
