Poetry is life in print.
I have been writing poetry and songs since I was seven years old, but writing in my tribal language as I learn it is challenging and rewarding at the same time. One thing is certain: whether in English, Yoruba, Spanish, or Chickasaw/Choctaw, I will always praise the Lord!

Sorors, the countdown to is officially on!
Founders Day is more than a celebration it is a sacred moment of remembrance and recommitment. We pause to honor the vision, courage, and conviction of our 22 Founders, whose legacy continues to shape generations of women dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
As we prepare to commemorate 113 years of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, we are reminded that our Founders’ work lives on through us. Founders Day calls us to reflect on the legacy we have inherited, the purpose that grounds our service, and the collective responsibility we share to carry Delta forward with intention and excellence.
We invite all sorors to join us for a dynamic virtual Founders Day observance that honors our journey to One Delta and inspires us to move boldly into the future - anchored in legacy and evolving with intention.
Be on the lookout for additional event details this Friday.

“Come, let us sing for our
Souljer Boys and Girls,
guardians of this land, and
protectors of our people,
Lance and shield in hand.”
“A Body’s Blues” If we fail to take care of the equipment, we will fail to do the work and do it well. Starting over is better than finishing early.
