All of these wires started the night with insulation and installed on the car. After a really great heat race, they were no longer insulated and had burned up!

Got repairs made and got out for the feature, missed the setup for the track conditions, brought it home and have plenty of items to work on this week. This car has got some potential in it and we're going to make some strides as we get a book built for it.

We'll be back at it next Saturday from Plymouth Dirt Track Racing, see you there!

Even "all grown up" it's still cool to me to be running with the Outlaws. Tonight at Angell Park Speedway

Racing for a purpose tonight at the Dahlke Memorial at Angell Park Speedway!

Goals for the night:
Get comfortable in the car ✅️
Finish the feature ✅️
Get ready for the Dahlke Memorial tomorrow ✅️

A very successful night at Plymouth Dirt Track Racing, the car was better each time out on track and led to a really nice feature race. Moved up several spots and made some nice passes from the bottom to work up to 10th.

This new build has got something in it and I'm excited to see where it goes as we get this season rolling! Congrats to Zach Boden on the win tonight, and our thoughts are woth Todd Kluever after a nasty wreck tonight.

We'll see you tomorrow at Angell Park Speedway for the giant BMARA Racing show. Be there for what will be a tremendous evening of midget racing and one of the sports cathedrals.

It's autograph night at Plymouth Dirt Track Racing!

As we prep the car for tonight and listen to my OU baseball boys playing The Citadel, we flash back to a young Danger Dave approaching Tommy Estes Jr for an autograph, only to wind up with my Citadel Bulldogs shirt signed by the future ASCS competition director.

So in that spirit, get out to the track tonight to get something, truly ANYTHING, signed by a driver! We'll have sharpies and do not discriminate about what they'll be used on!

It’s RACEDAY at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wisconsin!

Last night's opener at Wilmot was a but of a mixed bag, with several big positives to leave feeling good about. For a shakedown event, the car fired easily for the first time and didn't show any issues with fuel or oil leaks that can only really be checked for at the track. This is a totally new build for Big Hat in 2026, and we're sorting through a lot of new pieces of fit and finish work, so avoiding major mechanical problems let's us focus on those moving forward.

Unfortunately, we did run into a few issues that cut the night short and prevented what could've been a nice feature run.

Midway through our heat race in lost steering going into turn one and rolled off the high side of the track. After review, it seems like we lost the pump belt and therefore power steering (and fuel and oil).

We'd also had trouble getting the car out of gear, and it turned out that the shifter cable broke. The thought it that it could still "push" to get the car into gear, but not "pull" to get it back out. Unfortunately that meant we couldn't get it locked in to fire for the feature.

With tonight's Dahlke Memorial getting postponed, we'll make some repairs and work on what's in front of us. See you in a couple weeks for a return to Plymouth Dirt Track Racing!

Gotta support the team! Repping the Ole Sooner Racing Team gear tonight at Wilmot Raceway as we roll with BMARA Racing for the first time this season.

So far, much like SRT in Michigan, we've passed tech on our first try and the car started (suspiciously well)!

Looking to use tonight to shake down the new equipment and try to be in a position to start tuning and looking for speed tomorrow night at Angell Park Speedway

Seems better than last week...

See you tonight at Wilmot Raceway

At about 3 PM Friday we ran across this little hiccup and decided that we couldn't make it to Davenport for the BMARA Racing opener. At that point we would've been rolling in hoping to tag the tail or a heat race at best, and this did it in.
