A new face on Route 66 🐧✨

Tulsa Community College Metro Campus now has a brand-new Route 66-themed penguin statue, celebrating Tulsa, TCC, and the Mother Road.

Painted by TCC alumna Alexandra O’Neal and designed by Tulsa designer Candace Chupp, the statue connects Metro Campus to the history and energy of Route 66.

And the timing couldn’t be better — the Route 66 Capital Cruise is happening this Saturday, May 30, passing right near TCC Metro.

*The penguin is located at 10th & Cincinnati across from metro’s bookstore 🐧

Thursday, May 7, 2026 — 5 p.m. & 8 p.m.
- Doors open at 4:00 p.m.
- The BOK clear bag policy will be enforced.
- Security will be screening all guests.
- Free parking is available at the TCC Metro Campus (909 S Boston Ave), approximately 0.7 miles—or about a 15-minute walk— to the BOK Center.
- A free shuttle service between Metro Campus and the BOK Center is available to current TCC students, faculty, and staff. (4:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.) Approximately every 15-20 minutes; estimated ride time to the BOK Center is 5–10 minutes.
