Zarrow Pointe residents gathered at the outdoor pool for a special Lantern Lighting Remembrance Ceremony, honoring the people we have loved and lost.

Each lantern represented someone remembered, someone missed, and a life that continues to hold a special place in our hearts.

It was a beautiful evening of reflection, remembrance, and just being together.

High Holidays & Sukkot Education with Rabbi Appel and Cantor Labow
Monday, September 28th at 1:30 p.m.
Burnstein Auditorium

Join Rabbi Bathsheva Appel and Cantor Jenny Labow from Temple Israel as they share the significance and customs of the High Holidays.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is considered one of the most sacred days of Judaisim. The name translates to "head of the year" and typically falls during September or October. Rosh Hashanah commemorates the creation of the world and ushers in the Days of Awe, a ten-day period devoted to introspection, spiritual renewal and seeking forgiveness. The period concludes with Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement, the most solemn day in Jewish tradition.

On Monday, September 28 , Rabbi Appel and Cantor Labow will offer a special educational session on the traditions of Sukkot, exploring the meaning of the holiday and its connection to the High Holiday season.

As part of honoring this important season, residents are asked to maintain a quiet and respectful atmosphere throughout the Zarrow Pointe community, allowing our Jewish friends the space and reverence needed to fully observe Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Transportation will be provided to the High Holidays morning services at B’Nai Emunah. Available services will be live-streamed in the Town Center for both B’Nai Emunah and Temple Israel.

Sign-up sheets will be located by the apartment mailboxes for transportation to services and for livestreamed events.

World Alzheimer’s Day is an important reminder of the millions of individuals and families whose lives are touched by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

This month, and throughout the year, we honor those living with Alzheimer’s, those who love them, and those working toward a world without it.

We made it! Cooler weather is finally here, and after a long Oklahoma summer, it feels pretty good.

There is something about fall that makes us look forward to a change. Cooler mornings, changing leaves, soup on the stove, and finally being able to spend more time outside.

Sometimes change can be bigger, like deciding it might be time to consider retirement living. At Zarrow Pointe, that can mean less time worrying about home maintenance and more time enjoying great meals, fitness classes, outings, activities, friends, and everything else you would rather be doing. And perhaps one of the best things about fall at Zarrow Pointe? Someone else gets to rake the leaves.
