We were honored to welcome a group of Morehead-Cain Scholars from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the City of Tulsa Gov's Department of Resilience and Equity to The Common Good this week.

Their team is exploring how resilience hubs can strengthen neighborhoods and support communities in times of need, and we were grateful for the opportunity to share about Northwest Tulsa, our work, and the relationships that make it possible.

One of the greatest compliments we received was that they could feel the trust and joy throughout our building. That sense of belonging is at the heart of everything we do.

We're excited to see how these future leaders apply what they learned during their time in Tulsa and look forward to future collaboration as they continue designing solutions that help communities thrive.

Thank you, to the entire team for spending time with us and for your commitment to building stronger, more resilient neighborhoods. ❤️

From hands-on projects to discovering the unique landscapes and stories of America's National Parks, campers are learning, creating, and exploring every day.

🎣 "Dad, I'm hooked on you!" 🎣💙

To celebrate Father's Day, our HUB Summer Camp students made handprint fish with a special message: "Dad, I'm hooked on you!"

There were lots of smiles, plenty of glue & markers, and a few very creative fish along the way. We hope all the dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures in our community know just how much they're appreciated.

THANK YOU for making a difference in the lives of children across our Northwest Tulsa community!

Happy Father's Day from all of us at The Common Good!

🎉 Happy Juneteenth! 🎊
The Common Good & NW Tulsa HUB are closed on Friday, June 19.

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a special day that commemorates June 19, 1865. On this historic day, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, bringing news that the Civil War had ended and that enslaved people were now free — two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It's a time for celebrating freedom and reflecting on our nation's journey toward equality and justice.

Today, we commemorate the liberation of enslaved African Americans and honor their incredible resilience and strength. This Juneteenth, we celebrate diversity and a future where everyone is free and treated with dignity.
