Tulsa throws a Big Dam Party! Tulsan's celebrate the long-awaited ribbon cutting for a new pedestrian bridge across the Arkansas River near Gathering Place.

How did this happen? Hopefully we can stop this monstrosity from darkening my neighborhood.

The first family to occupy Apartment 3 were the Kirchhofers. Edwin was an automotive engineer for the Tulsa Automobile Company. He and his wife raised their two daughters in our small, upstairs, two-bedroom, one bathroom apartment.
These pictures are part of the 1920s display at Tulsa Historical Society. This is the first picture that I have seen of Edwin Kirchhofer.

How many Monarch caterpillars can you find?

It’s the start of another beautiful day on the sandy banks of the Arkansas River.

Meet the neighbors.
Starting upriver nearest the Route 66 Bridge; Hemphurst Hall, Hemphurst Arms, Hemphurst Castle, Hemphurst Lodge, and Hemphurst Manor. Then, of course, me, Hemphurst Terrace.
1931 Tudor-Revival Apartment Buildings. Listed as Contributing Buildings in Tulsa’s Riverview Neighborhood in The National Register of Historic Places.

Please be careful along the River. This one will be record breaking.

This truck, Tulsa 4, was designed by former Hemphurst Terrace resident Edwin Kirchhoffer. Edwin and his wife raised their two daughters in apartment 3 in the 1930s.

The truck is currently on display at the Tulsa Historical Society Museum.
